Re: Gaming predictions for 2015

Ugh, this thread depresses me. me too. Although im not sure if it is depressing us for the same reasons. For me it's the grim and jaded outlook and in some cases clear contempt that some of these guys have for modern gaming. Shouldnt you be used to this by now? Perhaps it's too much FOCUSED contemp...

Re: The new Sim City

Anyone heard of this new "Origin" thing? I got an email to say that if I downloaded it, I'd get a free copy of Sim City 2000. Being one of my favourite games ever, I quickly registered and "purchased" it to download the software at home. A couple of weeks later, I finally get round to it, and promp...

Re: Gaming predictions for 2015

the pc will continue to be sh1t To those who don't have a half way decent one, yes... :P And to those who dont know where to look for the games, for that matter. That being said, a super gaming hyper rig just isnt really very necessary for PC gaming these days. I remember a time when it WAS ...

Re: Screen / Game capture software for older consoles

Quite alot of people that do videos of such games use Fraps, that one is very popular for this, though it has it's limitations of course. It's either free or costs little... I forget. I personally use Camtasia Studio for this, but it's freakishly expensive, so that's not something I can recommend. T...

Re: Your top 10 games of 2014

Most of the stuff I've bought over the year.... okay, nearly all of it.... wouldnt be recognized by anyone on this forum. So I'll choose only from the list of the few that *might* be recognizable, or the few console games I did buy. 1. Nuclear Throne 2. Binding of Isaac: Rebirth 3. Persona 4 Arena: ...

Re: Smash Bros: What's next?

Smash has DLC. It's called Amiibo and it will be the most expensive DLC ever. It's not DLC. It's the physical media that the fanboys are clamouring for. They are £11 a pop and using them unlocks bonus costumes etc. Clever DLC . For Smash they actually arent... they unlock literally nothing. ...

Re: Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax (PS3/Vita)

it looks ghastly, another projectile spam fest with very little actual fighting Depends heavily on the game style. If it's done in Capcom's traditional style? Then yeah, endless spam is a "viable" tactic. It'll work. Or at least it always seems so... that sort of game is way too slow for me, so I d...

Re: Does anybody regret entering the 'next gen' early?

The XBone I cant speak for. My knowledge of it is "It's got Halo on it, and Microsoft made idiots of themselves in various presentations over the thing" and that's about it. Firstly, i only wish i had the disposable income to be able to afford an expensive console for just one game  although...

Re: Does anybody regret entering the 'next gen' early?

While it took me longer to buy any of these machines, I've still gotten them quite early in their lifespan, and... hm. Mixed bag in my case. The Wii U, much to my absolute bafflement, has the most games I would want as far as consoles go. It's still not very many, but it's enough to warrant the thin...

Re: Street fighter V

street fighter has become far too outlandish, it's now a projectile spam fest often resembling a shoot-em-up not a fighter, with the online spammers (otherwise known as tw@ts) renaming this god awful tactic as "zoning", it's not a patch on VF5. Totally agreed. I'm used to fighters such as Arc's gam...

Re: Street fighter V

So, it would appear that good ol' Capcom is running around Youtube, flagging videos as copyright infringement if they say negative things about the exclusivity. You know, par for the course for Crapcom. Clearly it's a BRILLIANT plan that cannot possibly fail at all. Not that they can possibly get AL...

maybe a calling card for gamers to get off their potatoes and finally get a pc for gaming Why? Can't stand PC's for gaming. Are PC owners insecure or something, as I only ever see PC owners dive into discussions and use any little excuse to say " ah, thats why you should got to PC " I rarely, if ev...

Re: Biggest Gaming Disappointments Of 2014

We've almost completed LBP3 and encounterd no bugs at all so... :? Consider yourself lucky, then. Though, they're more likely to appear in community levels than anywhere else. Which is problem enough, since the whole game is centered around this idea. I've actually got what is outright missing cont...

Re: Biggest Gaming Disappointments Of 2014

we shall have to agree to disagree on this issue. I've purchased many many new games this year the majority of which needed an update patch once installed but there was only one that was actually broken at launch. I actually have to agree, there really werent much in the way of game-breaking anythi...
