Re: Banjo-Kazooie to return?

I'd LOVE to see this happen. Something like Assassin's Creed, Batman Arkham Something.... others might disagree, but those arent even CLOSE to platformers to me, nor to they provide me any of the fun that those did. Or challenge, for that matter. I dont care about "mature" VS "cutesy", I mean the ga...

Re: The Greatest Multiplayer games of all time

Hm. I'll give it a whirl: Guilty Gear X2 Accent Core: Easily my favorite fighting game. Though Arc's other fighters are also fantastic. Smash Bros. 4: Or whatever the newest one on the Wii U is called. Screw all the previous games in the series. They have committed the grave crime of not being this ...

Re: Gaming industry VIPs you loathe

I remember that guy who did Fez annoyed the censored out of me a while ago. Ah yeah, THAT guy. Phil Fish. Just.... uuuuugh. Fez may have turned out well, but that guy is one of the best examples of how NOT to deal with criticism. Talk about an overblown reaction. And then nobody would SHUT UP about...

Re: Virtual Console Prices

I'd argue that piracy is the biggest reason why games like Super Mario Bros, Pilotwings, Super Ghouls N Ghosts, Earthbound and various other classics are deemed too expensive. It's easy to claim stuff is expensive when you can download the ROM for nothing. Not if you dont have or want the roms, tho...

Re: Virtual Console Prices

Compared to what though? Yeah I can buy some shallow distraction for my phone for 69p, cynically designed to addict and milk me for microtransactions, that I'll probably delete anyway as soon as I need the space or upgrade my phone, or I can play an all time classic like Super Mario World or A Link...

Re: Amiibo

I have a couple of them myself as well... Mario, DK, Wii Fit Trainer.... and I like the way they're implemented in Smash. Nice quality to the figures too. I was going to get more.... but have since lost interest in them. Due to the way they're being handled, they're just WAY too much trouble to be w...

There are other things to do?

Hmm, closest I get to that is reading books while having my meals.

Re: Your gaming/collecting goals for 2015

Personally my interest in actually making a game is less than zero... Probably for the best, for most people here. Game programming and related things, I swear, much of the time is devoted to BUGS. Ugh. And then you fix one, and it spawns like 20 more in the process. That is how game design goes. I...

Re: Your gaming/collecting goals for 2015

Sorry, should have made my point a little clearer. I realise its not pricey in terms of how far you can go. I meant for me its far too pricey to spend that money to have a machine sitting there that is unable to play most of the games I want to play. Well, yes, but that's the same with anything of ...

Re: Online co-op suggestions?

Diablo I have and already play, cant get the others into it because "It's really clicky and mindless". Apparantly all RPGs of that type involve no thought whatsoever and all you do is click enemies to kill them. Sigh. So yeah, that option is out. I can always find others to play that one with later ...

Online co-op suggestions?

Okay, so, while I normally prefer competitive gaming, as multiplayer goes, right now.... I've got about 5 bazillion such games. Seriously, there's SO MANY right now. And of course one of them is Smash, which is equivalent to like, another 5 bazillion, because Smash. That, and it'd be nice to have so...

Re: The Roms

Totally agree. Also knowing that i can play so many of the old classics on my PC (or my beloved iphone !) is great. Still find MAME the best invention/emulator ever yeah, I agree. 7000+ arcade roms on this machine. Sure as heck aint any other way of playing them, and this way, I get to keep experie...

Re: Is there bullying/steamrolling on this forum?

In answer to the OP: Yeah, I know full bloody well there's bullying on this forum. I dont know what "steamrolling" is. I've not heard that term before. But bullying? You betcha. I spent most of my school years under the constant pressure of bullies. And I watched others get bullied as well. It was.....
