Re: current gen and previous gen

but If I hear something I consider a fallacy written here about modern games I will sound it out for what it is, and being told that I should go elsewhere because I am a fan of modern gaming kind of sucks if I'm honest. well perhaps you shouldn't insult other people's opinions because they don't ma...

Re: current gen and previous gen

what is there still possible? hasn't any genre been represented more than enough? we just play games that are better, more beautiful versions of genres that were already represented a lot since PS1/2 days => that isn't a fault of the current gen hardware/developers, after such a long time, is it st...

Re: current gen and previous gen

http://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Maurice-Moss-Eating-Popcorn-The-IT-Crowd.gif This is getting fun I certainly thought so. I hate the way modern games all look the same and have terrible frame rates. Every modern game is basically the same game wrapped up in a stuttering mess of graphi...

Re: current gen and previous gen

Moaning about new stuff is specific to retro gamers, which is why it gets annoying. On modern gaming forums you just don't get lots of folks constantly whining about games from the past. Funny that. It's as if retro gamers can't enjoy their old stuff without bashing the stuff that's supplanted it. ...

Re: current gen and previous gen

I consider myself a gamer. I enjoy games of all ages as do the folks I converse with regularly on this forum the rest is just blah blah blah blah. Just ignore it, then. It's not hard. Or just block anyone that you think is making too many bothersome posts that you dont want to read anyway. That's w...

Re: current gen and previous gen

But they are PC titles, system shock 2 wasn't released on console iirc? Yes there was no console release. I'm simply showing how I see no actual progress in games outside of graphics. To be fair though, that CAN be applied to the PC as well. Yes, it's true, games with high playercount online, eithe...

Re: current gen and previous gen

What sophisticated mans games are on PC exactly, I certainly can't think of any I want. It works both ways. I ask the same about the consoles most of the time, and I've never found an answer. Too simplistic (or just too easy, or both) to hold my attention in most cases, those games. But with no nee...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Just booted up the binding of Isaac for the first time on the ps vita and it's a fantastic little game, see this being a game I dip in and out of for a while It also takes a freakishly long time to get 100% of everything in. Depends on the version, I dont know what version is on the Vita. BoI: Rebi...

Re: Season Pass (!)

I don't mind a season pass if it gives me a lot for a cheap price but there have been so little examples of this bar Trials Fusion and Bioshock Infinite. The Evolve season pass is a weird one, all it gives is 4 character skins (which you have to unlock) and 3 monster skins. For £20 that is censored...

Re: Opinions on Evolve

Thanks Misery for your detailed response. I have seen lots of Evolve videos and reviews now and my general impressions are thus; The main event, Hunt mode, is a bit repetitive and sometimes a non event for the hunters who could be chasing shadows for much of the match until a good monster graduates...

Re: Opinions on Evolve

Get ready to drop a lot of cash on it before you get the full game Do you need to though? I thought it was just optional skins so far and then paying for an additional monster. Additional maps will be free. That's correct. There's no available DLC yet beyond the skins, and there's hardly any of tho...

Re: Banjo-Kazooie to return?

Aye, it does seem like most of the time it's restricted to being only on Nintendo's stuff though, the more "unique" games. The others.... uuuugh. I'll just say, I aint been hanging out with friends very much when they're gaming lately, lest I die of boredom overload from watching them play the 4985...

Re: Banjo-Kazooie to return?

There's far too much "safe playing" in today's gaming world, imo. Yes, but devs kinda need to "play it safe" nowadays.... for most retail releases, the cost of making the games is WAY too high to take risks. It's why unique games get more and more rare. Bloody tired of it myself, at this point I'm ...

Re: Season Pass (!)

From what ive herd Evolve is DLC the game, people complain about micro transactions on freemuim apps, well heres a £40+ game full of them (avoiding COD and Fifa on this as they are bad examples). They where talking about the DLC while the game was being made and thats usually a bad sign It's miscon...
