Re: Do someting good to nature

I fed some squirrels the other day, (true), and gave a little stray kitty some leftover turkey on Christmas day. (also true). We all would like to do something to nature, but I hope, in a small way - I did a little to it. Happy new year everybody ladies & girls!

Re: Snipe bidding on ebay

A compromise, I have to agree with the points raised. Nice guys come last etc. Maybe to make a body feel good - slap on a nominal bid, then rip into it in the last moments. Shill bidders are whores though. I've smelt a few rats over the years. I had a max bid on a vectrex once, close to end bids arr...

Re: Snipe bidding on ebay

True crusto - I usually pay and bid for how high I'm prepared to go. In fairness - they don't annoy me really - I get more cross with them if I'm watching an auction out of interst and see a sniper snaffling an item from a person who's been bidding siunce the getgo. Thats ebay though. If it were a r...

Snipe bidding on ebay

I know a lot of folk only snipe bid at the last second - but I think it's a bit twatty. A very rare instance of me winning an item occured yesterday, when a 'sniper' lost out to my marginally higher bid I'd placed over 2 hours previously. Up his hole. Myself and another chap were bidding on the item...

Re: COLECOVISION POWER ADAPTER (non) EXCITEMENT by FatTrucker on Thu Nov 29, 2012 11:00 pm The power supply included a transformer IIRC deffo wouldn't recommend just plugging in something else with the same fitting. Cheers FatTrucker, knew it would hardly be that simple. I remember the big lump of a...

Are the UK adaptors as gargantuan as the Yank ones? If so, how the hell did you lose it?

It's true - they are a hefty beast. It's probably holding up something heavy in the garage.

COLECOVISION POWER ADAPTER (non) EXCITEMENT

Lords and Ladies, I've just dragged my old coleco out of the attic whilst visiting fambly, and it all looks smart enough - except I'm lacking the original power supply. I'm sure it'll turn up someday, hopefully. But was wondering has anybody had any luck with knocking together a replacement - or am ...

Re: Renting videotapes

We had a betamax. So the choice was pretty limited in our local shop. They had about 20 videos, so we rented octopussy (roger moore) which had been on tv a few months before. Forget any new releases. they had a bootleg of ET though which was exciting as it was a 'cam job' if you can imagine the qual...

Re: Call of Duty Offline?

Cheers The Last Ginja - I thought that may have been the case. Thanks lads - I agree with these comments especially regard COD4. These titles seem to retain a base core of fans even while getting a bit 'redundant' (in some not all folks eyes).

Thanks again for replying.

Re: Call of Duty Offline?

Thanks martin_lovick - it makes sense, but generally you'd find 5000+ players online most times of the day, until a few days ago - and now zero. I thought the server had gone down. Thanks for the info!

Cheers!
