Re: Coin-op Capers

The feature seems to be on hiatus right now, but I guess if enough people request it, it may return. It would be interesting to hear which machines people would like to see covered. For reference, the following have already featured: 01: Operation Wolf 02: Space Harrier 03: After Burner 04: Nemesis ...

Re: Stephen King Movies/TV

Don't like:- Creepshow 2 OI MASON! OUTSIDE! I saw that at an impressionable age - same with Children of the Corn - so I've always had a soft spot for it. "Thanks for the ride lady!" I've still can't believe that King didn't like Kubrick's Shining. His main criticism was that Nicholson looked like a...

Re: Garbage Pail Kids

Love Garbage Pail Kids.

I've got every UK card - series 1-6 and the two Garbage Gang series, plus a bunch of 'swaps' :)

I remember back in the day, kids used to stick em all over the place, but I always thought they were too cool to just slap on an exercise book.

Re: Thompson computers (French) ?

The Retro Computer Museum as got a Thomson M05e, which I think was the German export version (it has a full travel keyboard rather than a rubber one).

I was playing Arkanoid on it when I visited last year. Interesting looking machine, for sure. Pretty scarce too.

Re: Official Feedback Issue 100 + Issue 1

Issue 1 of Retro Gamer is like a fanzine. Thanks! A lovely compliment that. When we started it, the brilliant fanzines like Graham Howden's Retro Classix and Jason Moore's Retrogames is what we looked to emulate. That said, the first issue didn't exactly turn out as I hoped, chiefly due to a lack o...

Re: Official Feedback Issue 100 + Issue 1

I've been away from RG for a while but was tempted back with issue 100 sitting proud in my local Smiths - and what an issue! Free issue 1 reprint and an interview with Mr Braybrook - you really can't ask for better than that. So heres a big thank you to all the guys involved with the magazine over ...

Re: Official Feedback Issue 98

The guy who wrote it was actually a member of the editorial team (or all of them, I can't remember, which). It was a light-hearted article designed to spark some debate, and that's exactly what it did. I'd forgotten about this. Think it was called 'Don't Believe the Hype'. Issue 9 or 10? It was act...

Re: COIN-OP Capers

Welcome to the forum mastersabin. To address your points. We use Twin Galaxies because TG scores are usually verified as legit. It can be difficult verifying a score printed in a mag or listed on a website. This is the reason why Guinness World Records list TG-verified records in its Gamer's Edition...

Re: Covertape Wars - DVD Extras

DreamcastRIP, it there was ever a follow-up article - Coverdisk Wars maybe - that would definitely be a focal point, particularly ELSPA's intervention.

Covertape Wars - DVD Extras

LTL, FTP. I've not done one of these before simply because I always try and make sure that all of the key info ends up in the article. However, with the covertapes feature I had to trim lots of the interviews to fit everything in. Below then, are a number of responses that were either cut out comple...
