Re: Atari Inc. history book....

The missus got me a copy for Christmas, and I was really stunned by the sheer amount of content, and very well written so far too!

Really impressed and can't wait to get stuck into the book fully! ... So far very good :)

Re: Games that weren't 64 relaunch

Well, ever since the upgrade of GTW64 was completed - it was straight onto preparing for the Christmas update. No rest for the wicked. Hopefully we won't disappoint with some big findings to keep you going. Our main finding this year is: Otherworld full game http://www.gamesthatwerent.com/wp-content...

Re: Sub Hunter available on Cartridge

Hi Mire Mare, yes - the deluxe copy comes in the plastic larger case on the left (which is about Mega Drive game case size). There is a foam cut out for the cartridge to sit inside in the case.

Re: Whatever became of Anirog?

I hope some day there will be a feature in RG on Anirog. The most I read about them was from an interview that was done with them in an old issue of Home Computer Weekly (around 1983 time), speaking to both Anil and Roger. Good to hear from you as well Sam... I don't suppose you are in touch with an...

Re: Games that weren't 64 relaunch

Thanks guys, the response has been really positive so far! :)

Now onto the process of actually writing some new material - we've got a massive backlog now to clear of contributions from the past few months. Hopefully it will be quicker to get stuff live! :)

Re: Games that weren't findings

After a few months of slow progress, a new launch of GTW64 has been completed with a cleaner, more modern design (well, better than the old one anyway... ;-) ) and a number of new features to build on the old site. It has basically been merged in as a sub section with the main unreleased games site ...

Re: More Vic 20 in the mag?

Yeah, the Vic was sadly abandoned quite early on in its life when the C64 came out that no-one really fully explored the full potential of the machine compared to the likes of the C64, Spectrum and many others which had longer commercial life spans and time to push the hardware to the limit. However...

Re: For the mag: Commodore 64 memories

I was a bit hyperactive as a kid, and when staying over my older sister's house and not really getting to sleep at a good time - I was promised that if I did, then she would dig out a surprise the next day, which was their C64 setup. First thing loaded up was Tapper, followed by Buck Rogers and then...

Re: Why I love Skool Daze and Back To Skool

I played the C64 conversion myself, and spent ages putting in teachers and friends names in the game to make it a bit more "authentic". I don't think I played the game properly and just caused as much havoc as possible and avoid getting lines. Punching loads of kids onto the floor was good fun too! ...

Re: Happy 30th birthday to the ZX Spectrum

Happy birthday! I was a C64 user myself and just about avoided the playground arguments - instead getting caught up in arguements with Master System and NES owners during the early 90's :-) However, I many a time got to play on my friend's Spectrum+2 - playing the Dizzy games and various other Codem...
