Re: Today

Today I popped down to see my Mum, who asked me to check a box of books she'd found in the loft since she didn't know if they were mine or my Dad's. Opened it and didn't recognise the top layer but thought I'd check underneath anyway - which duly revealed his stash of 1980's porn mags  A time...

Re: Highly rated games that you do not like.

Final fantasy and most JRPG's I've tried many of them and I find them too tedious and time consuming.

360 for me. Yes I have awesome nostalgia for the snes when I was a teenager.

But if I'm being honest with myself I would say I have enjoyed far more games over the years on the 360. It's certainly cheaper to buy games for now

Did not realise the actor Powers Boothe died a few days ago.

One of those actors you forgot he was in so much stuff. One of my favourite films he was in was Tombstone.

Re: console battle QUARTER FINAL R3 PLAYSTATION 1 VS PLAYSTATION 2

PlayStation 1 for me. I just never got the excitement of playing new types of game on the PlayStation 2. I mean jumping from the megadrive to PS1 was huge. Especially playing when playing the likes of ridge racer, resident evil, doom, metal gear etc... for the first time. Maybe it's because I was ol...

Re: Retro Gamer 167

For anyone who is crazy about collecting all variants of magazine covers. When I was buying mine from WH Smiths I noticed one mag on the rack was not the usual glossy cover but a none shiny matt finish. I'm guessing this is a printing error which will see scalpers throwing them on eBay for £500

Re: From the forum issue 168 - Multiplayer scumbaggery

When playing side pocket on the megadrive with my cousin, he would always press the A button after fouling a shot. This always set the ball down on the spot at the end of the table so you could not line up your next shot.
Did my nut in as I used the think the game had a bug and not him cheating.

Re: Is there any way to stop the rising cost of retro?

My local CEX has loads of retro stuff now, but I couldn't believe some of the prices. A very yellowed SNES, with no games or anything, on its own for £85  Some of the trade prices are shocking through. Some are also really good. Was thinking of taking in a lose final fight cart for the snes ...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Not got much time to play anything at the moment but when I get a few minutes I'm enjoying neo turf masters on my iPhone. Great game, amazing to think the original AES version is going for $8k+! Yeah that is one console I would be scared of collecting for. One because of the money involved. Two is ...

Oh without a doubt the price is just crazy. Only a rich fool would have the money and the storage space to buy anyway.

Re: Anthony Joshua heavyweight champion of the world....

People need to stop with the aging klitschko. He has been playing safe and coasting for years and the loss to Fury has reignited him. That was the best he has looked for a long long time. Light on his feet and far more mobile and active than he usually is. I would bet on that version of Klitschko t...
