Re: TV Troubles

I would check to see if you have a local to repair guy first. That fault would generally be less than £100 to fix if spare parts are available. Just bare in mind if spares ain't available then you will still pay a charge for the engineers time. How old is the TV if you never had it from new? If it w...

Re: TV Troubles

If you have your tv on with something playing. Take your phone and shine it's camera/torch light on the screen. You should be able to just about see an image. If you do you know the panel is fine and it's just the LED array which outputs the light that has gone. That should be fairly cheap to fix wi...

Re: do you buy phsical music

Still buy cd's and vinyl when it comes to music. I get a fair bit of obscure stuff that's not always online with streaming services.

I do use YouTube etc to find out what certain artists are like then purchase the physical media.

Re: do you buy dvds

The one advantage with physical media is that you have it. The one thing you cannot allow for is a licence running out and a film or series disappearing for years never to be seen again.

Re: do you buy dvds

Yes blu rays all the way. High def audio is a massive plus point for me seeing as tv and Internet streaming has a lot way to catch up with the quality you get from a disc.

All the E3 reviews/breakdown/reaction videos by youtubers trying to act like they are some sort of industry experts.
Give someone a web cam and they will always think they are an expert

Markopoloman being permanently banned after years of service as a moderator. Disgusting behaviour on Future's behalf.
Yeah the forum has had a bit of a storm blow through it. At least there is somewhere else we can all meet up :)

Re: James Bond Games

I remember the megadrive bond game being quite playable for a 2D platformer. It's been a while since I have played it though so it could be a bit of a dog now.

Loved Alex Kidd in shinobi world.

For me revenge of shinobi is the best game. Almost a perfect balance of difficulty for me.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

They're holding back the good stuff, all we're getting free is a few NES games At launch the classic game library will include NES games. Super NES games continue to be under consideration I find it funny that SNES games are described as "under consideration". What is there to consider about re-rel...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

^^^ It has definitely grown on me but yeah, a few tracks are out of place, especially those that sound like rap. There's one that also has some 1920's Chicago gangster era sound effects in it which doesn't sound very 80's to me! Oh agreed. The rap style ones are not great at all. It was a WTF momen...

Bought "Outrun" by Kavinsky from Amazon: http://orig00.deviantart.net/5806/f/2013/055/9/c/kavinsky___outrun_cd_cover__alternative__by_homey98-d5w1alg.png It's alright but maybe not as good as I was expecting. Maybe I have been spoilt by Perturbator? Also, the best track - Nightcall - is something I...

Re: Original Final fight is better than Original Streets of rage

Streets of rage 2 is the daddy. I love final fight but the amount of hours I have sunk in to streets of rage 2 is crazy. Also my son thinks it's the better game also. He loves the music so much. A wise son you have there; you've taught him well :) Yeah, the music is really funky. He's at a great ag...

Re: Codemasters "Simulator" games on the 8 bits

I liked quite a few of them. Great value for £1.99 or if you picked up a Quattro pack of 4 on one tape.

ATV and power boat simulator probably got my most play time.
