Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I bought Yokus Island Express this week. Man what a game. I played it at Eurogamer last year and was sold on it. For those that don't know it's a Metroidvania where you play as a dung beetle attached to a a ball of **** by string. You navigate the area by using pinball flippers. As you get around yo...

Re: Tempest 4000 Announced

I saw this was coming out and then I saw the price! I want to support Jeff as I've loved almost all his games but this price is far too high. I know it's Atari that probably set the price, but they seem to be out of touch with reality IMO. At £14.99 I'd have jumped in day one even if there is a dist...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Mario Tennis is glorious fun! Caveat there was a group of us playing winner stays on doubles last weekend. For about 5 hours solid. I also started Mario vs Rabbids this week. I'm having a lot of fun with it at the moment, I hear the difficulty ramps up but so far so good. It's such a great system! ...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I picked up Puyo Puyo Tetris from Argos and Bayonetta 1&2 from Smyths for £20 each yesterday. I haven't paid over £35 for any of the Switch games I own yet Mario Odyssey, Mario Tennis, Hyrule Warriors and Mario Vs Rabbids. If £35 for a new game is too much, punt your Switch on and buy another in a f...

If there was an XBone sequel announced, I'd buy one tomorrow.
Time to put your money where your mouth is ;)

Re: What are you currently playing?

Plugging away at various game on my new NES mini that I did not need but bought anyway... Mario vs Rabbids on the Switch, turn based games aren't usually my thing but it has a certain charm that helps. Mario Tennis, which isn't really a tennis game and more of a fighting game but it's awesome! Espec...

Re: RE: Free Subscription Incentives

This may just bug me, but as a longtime subscriber of the magazine for about 8 years now, who subscribed when there was no subsidized offer or promotion, I just can't accept the latest promotional offer. Over the years pricing offers like £1 for 3 months subscription, or £3 for 3 months subscriptio...

Re: wii U

It's certainly worth waiting until E3 to see if any more ports are announced, I wouldn't be shocked to see NSMB U, Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, Xenoblade Chronicles X and Wonderful 101 ported to the Switch eventually. I seems the the Switch is slowly getting ports of all the good Wii U stuff. Bayonett...

Havin great fun with it, playing in Veteran mode and have managed to complete the first 2 areas. The b...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Far Cry 5. Great game. Great ending. I finished this last week. Did you resist or comply? Whichever one you did you need to look up the opposite ending as they're radically different!! I loved every minute. I'm just mopping up the last few trophies for the platinum. Just in time for the dlc to star...

Re: Zzap64 Annual kickstarter now open

I also noticed the review for Commando Arcade SE, which I didn't know actually existed. So I've just played through that. It's nice to see the game we should have had all those years ago. So thanks to whoever put in the work on that. The scene group Nostalgia. They've also done the same to Ghosts '...

Re: PS3 Help - YLOD!! :-(

This happened to me a few years ago. I'd already backed up some of my saves, but some wouldn't back up online. Dragon Age Origins I'm looking at you, which was the game I was currently playing and 80 hours into. It cost me £40 to get repaired, then I hooked it up to the new one over the network and ...
