The loading was quicker because the routes were chosen for you!! The music came on a tape that looped... I only played the C64 version back in the day(as I only owned this)but having replayed them all today on emulators my opinion has changed. Although I would never had admitted this in the playgrou...

I've just played this on C64 Speccy and Amstrad and my opinion is....

Amstrad.

graphics are clear, sound may be crap, but plays well enough.

Thunder Force III - good, but still prefer IV
Agreed!

Psi 5=C R AP! IMHO.

came out about the same time as Time Tunnel, which I bought on a mates recommendation and not reviews! As is Fight Night ! I may be waffling at the mo but I'm drunk.....

C64 no doubt about it, all other pretenders to its throne, form a line at the nearest big cliff or take a long walk off a short pier!

An no I'm not biased! :?

I played Bombo C64 this afternoon, have to say overall I'm not that impressed.

However, I've found this with a few games that other people played back in the day which I never got round to, so I just judge them without those rose tinted specs.......

OK, the definitive opinion(well mine anyway  ) C64-Crap, blocky mess, with way too big Jack Spectrum-Sluggish, but graphics ok Amstrad- Best of the lot, speed just about right, no music but thats not a problem, the fire bombs even spark in the same order as the version on Tecmo classics!!! On ...

Talking of emulation, does anyone use the Amstrad emulator Caprice?

I haven't used it in so long I can't remember how to run a game.

I've attached image, then typed cat, but can't remember what to do next?

Any takers?

SORTED!!!!

Ditto. I came very close to ordering GP2, then I read on another forum about the problems. I have been buying the Midway,Taito,Capcom,Tecmo compilations on Xbox though , for 2 reasons, I like to sit in a comfy armchair when playing and 2 difficulty in tracking down Roms for Mame. All other emulation...

Forgot about Ikari Warriors! And Ghosts n Goblins!!! I'm a muppet. Commando had 2 or 3 levels missing, and seriously bad flickery sprites. That and I had to use my big toe on the space bar to launch grenades!! I love Space Harrier, play it on the Saturn, along with Outrun and Afterburner,on the Sega...

Yep C64 version IS that bad!!! I've been playing it on Tecmo classics on Xbox, and I had the thought of comparing the 2, Jack feels like he takes up half the screen and controls badly. Gonna fire up Speccy and Amstrad emulators to check them out, Impressions here later...... On a related note most o...
