Re: The New gen thread PS5/XBOXsX (feat PONG)

Yeah, we discussed it on the PS4/XBox 1 thread. Microsoft clearly want to give customers a choice between a low-end 1080p games machine (although the One S can still output 4K video for streaming and such) and a high-end 8K one. Having a machine in the middle that's potentially seen as good enough ...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Shenmue 3 on the PS4. After the QTE hell of Shenmue 2 this is a lot more relaxing. I'm only a couple of hours in but so far I've chopped a lot of wood, bought too many capsules from vending machines and done a lot of Kung Fu training. I need to chop more wood to get more money since I've locked mys...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Shenmue 2-PS4- Got the Platinum, enjoyed the first half a lot even though it had lost some of the charm of the first game since it is now in a much larger area. Then I got to Kowloon, and that's when the game lost its way. So many BS QTE encounters, which are fine in most instances except the game c...

Let us know if it's good. I like a bit of Mr Driller.
Its Mr Driller with modes, stuff like an RPG(ish) system, a grab the gold mode, a catching ghosts mode to name a few
Pretty much its Mr Driller
To the eShop!

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

It's been a busy couple of weeks at my house of being Furloughed so let's clear the backlog:... Theseus-PSVR- Basically a 3rd person walking simulator with mild platforming and combat. Without the VR it would have been ok, with the VR and the scale of the labyrinth and Minotaur it upped it to good. ...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Argos has some good deals on 3DS games.

I picked up Metroid Samus Returns for £12.99. Happy with that.

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Wonderboy 3-Megadrive/PS4- Well that was censored. I played it through in VR and while the first few levels were fun enough from about the halfway point to the end I had to keep using the rewind function due to so much bullshit. I doubt many people finished it back in the day.

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

I found most of the SOR2 cast way more useless as they lacked the speed from 3's, the moves from 4's or the damage from 1's characters. Max is a bit of a beast though. I've found that you can utterly spam his dashing special move on the Easy mode (since it doesn't drain too much energy) and wipe ou...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

SMW2:Yoshis Island-SNES/Switch- Meh. It was ok. It looks lovely but I found most of the levels uninspiring and the music is not a patch on the original. Glad I've finished it but I can't see me playing it again. Ghostbusters:Remastered-PS4- It was always a little bit janky when it first came out. St...

Re: What are you currently playing?

I had planned on finishing Mad Max, but I saw that Metro Exodus was leaving Game Pass, and since I've finished the first 2 this year I figured I should go for the 3rd. So far so good, but it's a very different beast to the others. I'm also back into VR in a big way and after finishing Astor Bot and ...

Re: What are you currently playing?

I'm currently playing a lot of Panel De Pon on the Switch SNES library. I watched a translation video of the menus and realised there was a lot more to it than first appeared. I'm just past halfway through the campaign and it's got tough as nails! Great game, though. I also grabbed Days Gone dirt c...

Re: What are you currently playing?

EDIT: Also playing Yoshis Island:SMW 2 on the Switch SNES online app, I've made it to the 6th and final world. It's...ok. There's a few levels that stand out to me but overall I'm not overly impressed with it./Unpopular opinion? Hmm. I remember loving it on the SNES when it first came out, but also...
