true, but there are a lot of older games from 8 and early 16 bit formats that utilised 3D better than some modern games. Driller still holds up (ST...still not sure what I am supposed to be doing), Bombuzal (ST another forgotten classic) all the d and d adventures. Platoon had some nice 3D effects o...

Has to be the dreamcast for me. I got married the week it was coming out, and just remember through all the stress and last minute arrangements etc driving for an hour to get to the only place in Cornwall that had one left. It brought us many classic games and fine videogame moments but the thing th...

Had to be the CBM64 for me. The most complicated basic in the world bar none  I was blown away by it, I remember really wanting a BBCB, and not having much success convincing the old man, then one of the Saturday morning tv shows had summergames on a big screen. Impressed me and the old man, w...

There are so many, by remake im guessing you mean updated to todays standards. I would love to see a full on remake of Pyjamarama, maybe changing the playfield to isometric rather than the 2D of the original. Wally would keep his character while becoming even more immersed in his world. I actually b...

In case you just dived into Taito classics (like I did  ) its worth checking the extras on each game, it tells you how to unlock different playmodes for games. I had never heard of Super Bubble Bobble until completing Bubble Bobble on this compilation, still havent played it but know how to un...

Have you got a higher score than the official world record?

This may help http://www.classicarcadegaming.com/wr/true/ I have beaten the Mr Do! highscore of 26030050, I dont remember exact score but i know it was 3...

Yup, It was just unique, the most defined characters since Gauntlet, and a tighter fighting style than previously seen, coupled with special moves made it playable, not necessarily good. The pioneers arent always the greatest. (I know there were other one on one beat em ups previously), it just show...

Have to disagree with SF2 im afraid, it plays exactly as it ever did, its just our memory of it has been tainted by so many sequels. Virtua Racing on the megadrive is my tip for most badly aged game, paid seventy quid for it at the time, now it looks and feels like a bugged demo, an 18 wheeled truck...
