Put it in a bit of a different light that the killer said it was down to bullying because of race and sexuality.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Two things... Why do people call mixed race people with 1/2 of it African descent black? Barrack Obama has white european mother and a black african father so surely he is as black as he is white. Just strikes me as racism that is accepted by both white, black and mixed race people? Discussion on so...

Re: Command & Conquer

Sometimes random phrases up into my mind like, "You cannot deploy there" "Your ion cannon is ready" "Building" and the classic "Your harvester is under attack!" Some of the sound effects are burnt into my mind...minigunners dying, flame troopers exploding, nod artillery shooting, warthogs dropping ...

Command & Conquer

I don't think there is a dedicated thread for the series. Anyone else a long term fan? The games lost their way after the Westwood team broke up after Generals but C&C 3 and RA3 were still decent games. C&C 4 was a disaster on all fronts, such a shame it had to end that way. Tiberium Dawn and Sun ar...

Prices seem to vary more now - just sold a MD pad for £8 - sold a pad, james pond and console and all the wires for £12.50 last week - how does that work!

Re: The Retro Gamer Forums Musicians Thread

Yeah, I'm more into detroit techno and stuff like LFO :) Was reading the Warp 'labels unlimited' book by Rob Young the other day, and the tale of beckett driving up to leeds to track down their eponymous track that was 'blowing sound systems and peoples ears' brought a smile. Love the early Warp st...

Re: Anyone got an SSD drive in their PC?

would fully recommend getting one for installing both windows and PC games to. So much faster, though there is still the problem of old windows installs getting bloated over time. So cheap now too, I got a 128gb one a couple of years ago for over a hundred pounds, they are about £40 now. I may have ...

Re: Cubase, Pro Tools and modern music recording

I bought a Yamaha PSS480 for about £25. It doesn't have the functionality to control modern software (no extra knobs and wheels) but For just straight playing, through midi, it's good enough for me and the vst's make it sound like something 100 times the price. Some of the newer usb controllers hav...

Actually here for hundreds of millions of years. We've yet to prove we can survive without wiping ourselves out for even 1% of their dynasty. You know when people complain that humans fighting T-Rexes in movies is stupid and historically inaccurate? It's actually more accurate than if you see a T-R...

Re: Homeworld Remastered

No, it is RTS done properly in space. I say it is almost as good as Total Annihilation (my No.1 game of all time). Did you ever play TA:FF Final Frontier? Probably one of my favorite mods for TA. Tried to play homeworld a couple of years ago but the graphics were a little muddy - this looks to be a...
