Re: Eerie Indiana

That was so awesome,,. remember the episode about the kid who was being brainwashed by backward messages in his punk albums, and it turned out the messages were his strict dads lectures? That was bizzare. I liked the one where the boy was alone in the town and everyone had gone and he didnt know why.

Re: British comics

There was an artice on cracked.com about the two Dennises and the USA writer said he thought Beano Dennis was like a dark reboot of Calvin and Hobbes which made me laugh.

Re: Food/Drink from the past

Reese Nutrageous bars and Reese Pieces, which you can get in Tesco now, have a similar kind of peanut butter that the kit kats had. I really miss nerds and dweebs and all that stuff - there's a specialist bizzare candy shop in Birmingham that sells it all, along with all sorts of weird foreign candy...

B movies on BBC2 teatime, mid 90s?

Does anyone remember that around 1995 BBC used to show classic black and white 50s sci fi movies like Invaders From Mars? I can't remember whether it was every day or just once a week, I would love to see a list of all the ones they showed. I know one was 50 foot Woman and I think another was Beast ...

Re: Bruce Forsyth

I used to hate light shows like Noel House, Generation Game as a kid. I wish we had things like Dr Who and Primeval back then. I would have liked that as a kid.

Re: The fuss about Oasis vs Blur?

I always thought Oasis as a whole sounded more like glam and T Rex than Beatles, but I guess some of their biggest hits like Wonderwall and Roll with It sound kind of Beatles-y with their simple tunes. I could never remember who was supposed to have won the war, although I loved both bands I was not...

Re: James Pond: Underwater Agent or Robocod?

did anyone ever find every single hidden room in the Robocod castle? I remember thinking it was so dizzyingly big and always finding hidden stuff and thinking there must be some large areas i don't know about yet, and seeing doors I couldnt get to.

Heart of Ice was awesome, I remember having the video. I was obsessed with BTAS as a kid. I remember always being disapointed if I saw Space Ghost and thought for a second it was BTAS.

That is an awesome film, though I prefer the first childhood half to the rest. It really feels like old new york is real.

Re: Sonic the Comic

I never liked it as a kid, in cartoons and comics where they wrote Sonic as a kind of laid back friendly dude. Playing the games I imagined him being more single minded and grim and autistic with a Batman-like personality. I mean he never spoke wisecracks in the games (at that time) or even smiled a...

Re: The fuss about Oasis vs Blur?

I remember when I was about 12 I decided I wanted to get into music as all my coolest friends liked music, and I saw a kid reviewer on saturday morning TV saying, the coolest bands around now are Oasis and Blur. So I used my birthday money to get Parklife and Definitely Maybe. I loved them both and ...
