Sorry for the very late response, but it's based off of the Arcade 2001 Version (The DC one is VO:OT).

Re: The BBFC ruined your childhood (riddled with spoilers)

They did f*ck up at times, didn't they? They rated Grease 2 a PG, when Maxwell Caulfield said "B*llocks", clear as day. It was even audiable when the BBC play it, and don't cut it. I find it funny myself, but the TV version has the cuts where Bigwig suffocates and stuff. I mean, how can anyone in 1...

Re: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - SEGA's Legacy in

You can hear a Q&A about the making of the game at Play Expo next month. I'll be going, although I am not someone who has a recorder to record it. Otherwise, I have been following the news on the SEGA forums, and it seems that Ristar is an uncertainty (Vectorman's deconfirmed). The NiGHTs track's N...

Re: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - SEGA's Legacy in

I was playing the first game again last month to grab a few of the achievements I'm short and the game holds up really well, I still personally think its better than any of the recent Mario Kart games I've played. I'd have preferred a few more classic Sonic Tracks compared to the Sonic Heroes track...

Re: The BBFC ruined your childhood (riddled with spoilers)

Watership Down is the prime example of BBFC monstrosity to all those kids, lol.

Why is that film a U again?

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - SEGA's Legacy in 2012

I used the Search Result before doing this thread, I hope that this isn't a duplicate. Anyway, yes...this game is what you probably think of the Mario Kart series, only SEGA's franchises are represented from After Burner to the modern games of Sonic. For retro's sake, this is the best video to watch...

Re: Now That's What I Call Music!

Surprised it's still alive, but then again, it features music that is popular. Iirc, Simply Red is on the very first one (A teacher told me), my FAM have a few from '97 with All Saints, Savage Garden, Oasis and Shaggy on them somewhere and I recall the earliest one we have is '95 I think. Good to se...

Re: The fuss about Oasis vs Blur?

I was in high school in Manchester back then and amitting to even liking Blur usually resulted in a mild beating. TBH, nowadays I probably prefer Gorillaz over Blur and Oasis. Would I make you old if I said I started Primary when this happened and I had to endure Spice Girls in the school taxi? lol...

Re: most ridiculous MEGA RARE on ebay?

I'd say Pier Solar, the very first edition.

Although I am happy with my Re-Print Copy (3rd Run), even my edition would go for £80 when they are STILL selling the game!?! >_<

Re: What was the best era in retro gaming?

16-Bit for sure.

I grew up on the Mega Drive from '93 to '98 but I have experienced the SNES side games (albeit a small amount) in '96-'97 but I couldn't get into them.

Re: Your best gaming moment

Gradfually beating each of the Streets of Rage 2 difficulty...then being given a Code for Maniac Mode...that was like being given the keys to my first car (which happened only last month, lol).

No, I still haven't beaten that mode either...although I have come mighty close (Stage 7).

Re: Issue 100.

I'd like to see a few articles on 100 of the best games that never really made it due to how obscure they are and perhaps ask a few Developers who have worked on these games. Although I am a Mega Drive fanatic and would love to see games like Soliel and Alisia Dragoon interviewed, I'd love to see so...
