Re: Why do you hate your readers?

I'd love to see to see a "Back to the 00's". 80s has been done and the 90s will be done eventually so it makes sense. I have no interest in the 70s or earlier.

Re: Magazine needs an article on the PC

I say this too, as RG tends to go super in-depth into the makings of things. So seeing it from a RG angle would be a really damn fascinating read.

Magazine needs an article on the PC

As the title says. Retro Gamer needs an article on the PC. Even if its just how 80s - 90s PCs were developed. I'd love to see an article on this.

Note that I stating that $100 in Aus dollars. NES consoles go for that much over here, if their in working condition.

Agreed. Though the person I watched play it, got pretty damn far in it. I dunno how that's even possible, as it's hard as hell.

Re: Fighting Fantasy

Give me Lone Wolf any day of the week over Fighting Fantasy. That said, the Fighting Fantasy gamebooks are excellent don't me wrong. But your always some one different, and in most cases in a different universe per book. In Lone Wolf in comparison, your the same person from book to book, continuing ...

Re: Minor or lesser known Arcade Coin-Ops you really liked

I remember really loving the Castlevania arcade game that was under a different name. Never actually played it myself at the arcade, and only saw it once. But it looked really impressive. Got to play it in Mame32 decades later, and I completely suck at it. Which is odd as I'm really good at the rest...

Re: Retro Game Repair?

Those $20 NES consoles are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy underpriced. Buy those, repair em up and sell em for $100. That's what I'd do, if I were any good at repairing systems.

Damn fascinating stuff. "The 8-Bit Guy" on youtube does MANY videos on old computer repair. Love watching those.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Currently playing Assassin's Creed Origins. For a game with "Assassin's Creed" in it's title, I've yet to see a single Assassin in it. Beyond that it's an excellent game that makes some fairly major changes to gameplay. Far more RPG than prior games. Exploration based side activities are really damn...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I do a fair bit of buying and selling of retro games as a means of helping with the finances. If I was to post what I was buying and selling each week, you'd be seeing a heap of snes, megadrive, n64, ps2 and xbox games.
