Gran turismo 6

Has anyone else had the chance to play Gran Turismo 6? I must admit I am loving it so far despite the mixed reviews the game has been getting. The racing itself is as good as its ever been and the career mode gets far more interesting far more quickly. It is a great send off for the ps3 (although I ...

Rayman Legends

I am playing through the amazing Rayman Legends on xbox 360 with my mum. I have completed the main game which opened up the 8 bit levels and have finished the origins levels as well. We are just working through the invasion levels and the game is maxed out. My question is does anybody know what happ...

Re: Football Games

I also loved italia 90 on the megadrive. I seem to remember it being really really hard. I could only win if I played as brazil or Germany against costa rica or Egypt. I played the amiga version which was totally different, the megadrive version was top down view with big heads and the amiga game wa...

Re: Football Games

I had forgotten about Virtua Stiker 2, I loved that on Dreamcast. I seem to remember a cheat code where you could turn your team into snowmen. I also loved viva soccer on the ps one, not great by any means but you could play as almost any famous national team in history and mix and match, like brazi...

Football Games

I have always loved footy games, even though I don't like it in real life all that much. Looking back its remarkable that almost every console I have had owned came with one, from kick off 2 on the amiga 500, fifa soccer on the megadrive, iss on the snes, actua soccer on the saturn and even today pe...

Re: Worst fall from Grace

Yes it is a sony thing. They make it this way so that the games will improve naturally over time. It worked fantastically well for ps1 and ps2 but the ps3 was even harder to develop for and suffered as a result. I must say that now the ps3 is my favourite current gen console and is finishing this ge...

Re: Worst fall from Grace

How about Sony? The undisputed winners of the previous 2 generations, stumbled into the current gen with a machine (ps3) that was over £200 more pricey then the xbox 360, hardly any decent games for the first couple of years, a terrible online experience in the early days and to top it off the machi...

Happy Console Gamer

Does anybody else on here watch the happy console gamer on youtube? I find his show really refreshing as unlike many other retro games hosts he is not jaded or shouty, just informative and funny. His stories from bygone days with his mate rob are great, and he never ever falls into the fan boy traps...

Re: Favourite Video Game Magazines

Back in the mid 90s I used to enjoy reading the short lived Gamesworld Magazine (based on the sky tv show) and Ultimate Future Games. I loved the reviews in Gamesworld as all 4 writes had to review each game and they based the end score on a combination of their individual scores. I think Dave Perry...

Teletext

Is it just me or does everybody really miss teletext? Sure you can get a digital version through sky but it is slow and rubbish in comparison. I used to read the videogame pages on channel 4 text every morning whilst having breakfast, and check it again when I got home from school/work as it used to...

Re: When something just dies :(

I too had lots of troubles with the 360 console (even the slim model gave me problems by just not loading discs that were brand new).

Real shame as it is one of my favourite machines of all time, had my current one since Christmas and all seems to be well.

Re: Best version of Doom??

|really enjoyed the gba versions when they were released around 2001/2002.

The sound was a bit tinny but graphics were nice and chunky and gameplay intact.

Just about to finish Bret Hitman Hart's autobiography. Fantastic read although understandably depressing in places.
