Re: Top N64 games vote

Nintendo's last great home console for me. WWF Wrestlemania 2000 - My favourite wrestling game ever. So easy to pick up and play and so customisable, slighty edges out No mercy for me as I had to return 3 copies of no mercy due to issues with the cart no saving my data. Goldeneye - Amazing for the t...

Re: Franchises you've given up on(& how they could win you b

I used to love football manager, the last one I really enjoyed was actually fm 2007 on 360. Just the right level of depth and complexity whilst still being easy to pick up and play. Later versions on pc are too slow and dull for me, especially the bit where you have to have really drawn out and bori...

Re: The Dreamcast is Overrated

I loved the colin mcrae rally games on ps2 as well. I really love rally games although dc did have both sega rally 2 and v rally 2. Personally I think you can only rate a console on the amount of top class games it has, for me the ps2 had hundreds of games I love where the dc had only around a dozen...

Re: The Dreamcast is Overrated

I picked up a dreamcast shortly after release in 1999, but It soon started gathering dust as I went back to my playstation and n64. I thing the games whilst fun where quite shallow and bland. I traded the machine in towards a ps2 when the first pro evolution soccer game came out, I did get one again...

Re: Modern Ridge Racers

I really enjoyed ridge racer 7 on ps3, ridge racer 6 on xbox 360 is also decent.

I would avoid ridge racer unbounded though as that is a very poor burnout ripoff. :D

Re: Your top 5 last gen games.

Tough question this, really enjoyed this gen and have no wish for it to end to be honest. PGR4 on 360 Gears of War original on 360 Motorstorm pacific rift on ps3 Super street fighter 4 on ps3 Fight night round 4 on ps3 A strong mixture of mainly racing and fighting games for me as those are my favou...

Re: Irrational closes down

Real shame this, for all the hard working and highly talented people work there. It makes you wonder what the publisher was expecting, I mean the game got 90%+ on every review I saw and it sold millions. Not much more they could have done. I think it goes to show that the current triple A game model...

Re: PRO EVOLUTION SERIES

I also enjoy the psp versions of the game. They are almost exactly the same as the ps2 games which is amazing really.

The only downer is that the stick is a little harder to use than the ps2 pad.

Re: PRO EVOLUTION SERIES

My favourites are still the ps1 iss pro evo series. They had fantastic artwork too if I remember. Every player when they had possession of the ball felt different rather than the generic feel of other football games of the time. :)

PRO EVOLUTION SERIES

I was just wondering if you guys think the magazine might do a feature on the pro evolution soccer series? The series is 20 years old later this year. The series has been going strong ever since (although this gen has been a bit wobbly). From the original iss on super nes and megadrive to the brand ...

Re: Do you ever settle for inferior/lesser versions?

Back in the late nineties I had the choice of Hydro Thunder on the n64 or dreamcast. I plumped for the n64 version as I loved the pad for racing games, bought the dreamcast version about 4 years ago and although the graphics and sound are much better I prefer the lesser n64 version for some reason. ...

Re: The best PlayStation?

I love the original fat shiny ps3. Lovely design and it had that lovely heavy premium quality feel to it. I also loved the touch buttons at the front, the off button at the back and the fact that even though I was right next to it I could not hear a sound from it. Very reliable too as it lasted from...

Re: Gran turismo 6

Totally agree, the game plays just like it used too but in hd.

It has replaced Motorstorm pacific rift as my favourite ps3 racing game, honourable mentions go to grid, wipeout hd and need for speed hot pursuit. :o
