Re: Fixing a dead Master System game cartridge?

Nice one, didn't think of steps 3 and 4. Will try these tonight and post back!

"Cleaning Step 3 – Ink Eraser"
Do you think this just means a normal pencil rubber we used in school? lol.

Re: Charity Shops

Best I've found so far was Opoona for the Wii for 99p in an RSPCA charity shop.

Fixing a dead Master System game cartridge?

Hi all, not posted for a while. My girlfriend has unearthed her old Sega Master system. I've got most of it working apart from one game. I've cleaned the gold contacts with 100% isopropyl alcohol on a cotton bud. Dust, etc, came off. But the game still won't load. Were Sega Master System catridges k...

Re: Help me name this Amstrad game.

That's the one cheers!! Will be downloading the ROM for this tonight. Don't have high hopes for it being any good though haha. It's definitely the logo on the front cover 100% so was the re-release. Don't recognise that original cover at all. I was pretty close with my drawing! Retro Gamer for...

Help me name this Amstrad game.

Hi all this is really bugging me now, I've randomly remembered buying this football game as a kid from my local M&W shop, it was for the Amstrad CPC464. All I remember about the game is the cover, it was a stick figure of different coloured limbs kicking a football. Like a UEFA or World Cup logo of ...

Re: PS2 Dualshock 2 Buttons Not Working

I've been led here from a similar topic I made recently http://www.retrogamer.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=50344 I currently have 1 controller that works perfect, it's black and has the letter A on the back. I have 2 silver controllers that I owned from new when they came with my console, both of t...

Faulty silver PS2 controllers.

Hi everyone, This might just be a massive coincidence (or I'm going mental), but over the past few years I've had THREE official silver PS2 controllers fail on me. 2 of which I owned from brand new when I first got the console. What happens is random buttons stop working or stay stuck down, wiggling...

Re: Help me find this PS1 game?

Haha yes that's it nice one!!

I can't remember thinking it was rubbish though.
Is it not worth buying then?

Seems a bit pricey on ebay (£15 ish) but that would explain why I've never seen it since as it's obviously an uncommon game (I try and avoid the word "rare") lol.

Help me find this PS1 game?

Just had a random flashback to my cousin getting a PS1 console and he had a demo where you was a builder bloke with a massive sledge hammer and you move left and right smashing up crates? It was 2d gameplay but graphics with a 3d edge to them. You could have 2 players. Trying to remember what the ch...

(I've finished beating them all by the way lol).

Tetris DX - Wipe high scores? - GameBoy Color.

Recently purchased this game and loving Tetris again. But how do I wipe these high scores from previous owners so I can start fresh?? I know how to delete the profiles but the high scores under that name remain. Please only answer if you know for certain, I've already seen all the random "try this, ...

Using Google when stuck?

I've really annoyed myself this weekend... I'm trying to play through Zelda Ocarina of Time for the first time on the N64. (These days I pick one game from my collection and play it to the end before I pick my next game). But I got so stuck that I had to use Google to check how to do this one small ...

Re: Playstation 2 controller to USB adapter?

Cheers for all the replies. As long as they last for years and not 5 minutes I'm happy to go for one of the blue ones then. I've found one even cheaper now! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161312910835?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 For £2.69 I'm not massively losing out anyway if it d...
