Diddy Kong Racing on the N64. I'm not sure whereabouts in the game it is but you have a boss race about midway through the game that's ridiculously hard. I've been stuck on it since purchasing it when it first came out and got to that section without too much trouble but never got past it. Up until ...

No I didn't upgrade.

I just didn't buy a Spectrum full stop and bought the CPC6128 instead.

I just couldn't see the point in waisting my money on an inferior machine just because more people had one.

What happens when you connect it?

When I connected mine I think I just used the RF. I'll have to check it again though to see if it worked as I have the PAL machine connected ( coz I've got the MegaCD and 32X plugged into it). You would however be better off with a scart anyway.

Yeah the PSX version is close but isn't it running in emulation rather than being an out and out conversion? May as well say the MAME version is the best.

Actually it'll add a bit bloody more than a fiver to the PC Engine. Depending obviously on which machine you have it could add quite a bit of value.

Hey, cool! That list is gonna come in usefull. I'm gonna try and get some of these (hopefully getting both the mags and discs). It's a shame there isn't an online archive of these and a bit about the bods that did them. Think it would make a nice feature in Retro Gamer also if it were possible to tr...

I honestly didn't use blank tapes.

Not cause I'm honest but because I had a CPC6128 with a multiface so once a tape loaded I used the multiface to save it to disk.

But even still nearly every single game I had was original backed up onto disk.

And no I didn't then sell the original on.

:D :D :D Hurrah! I just found the magazines I was missing and guess what was in one of them... Enter 68153461 for the level select. The censored on the forum that I got the first code from had got the last two digits the wrong way around.   AND this one works because, despite what...
