Re: From The Forum issue 166 - First Amiga Encounters

At a friend's house in 1988, and I was blown away by Sword of Sodan, by Super Hang-On, by the graphics, by the sound, by everything. Got my own A500 on july 10th, 1989 and the first game I loaded was Out Run. Liked it despite being one of the worst Amiga games ever, but it's been better and better e...

The Ar Tonelico series. Two great (especially AT 2) 2D rpgs, and then the 3D games, best left forgotten.

Many good calls here btw, with Monkey Island 4 being an excellent choice.

Supercars 2, Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, Turrican 1-2-3, Batman the Movie.
Needless to say, on the Amiga.

Re: Questions for Mo 'Novagen' Warden

Great questions! Thanks for posting all. Hiro, looks like this one really piqued your interest! You could say that :D Whose idea was that of the faces that get more and more bloody in Thai Boxing? It's a feature never used before in a fighting game before and I believe never (or rarely) since! Not ...

Did you like how it was going, textured polygons and all? Was it supposed to be a remake of the Amiga/...

Re: Best Game Cheats

For me, the cheats in the Magnetic Fields games, since they're based on Big Country ("FIELDS OF FIRE", "IN A BIG COUNTRY" etc) and Big Country are my favourite band :)

The "MOTHERFUCKENKIWIBASTARD" cheat in the Amiga version of The New Zealand Story wasn't bad either.

Re: The Missing Retro Gamer features

What about a feature on the MechWarrior series? The last game is more than 15 years old now, the games should be retro enough and the series was overall very good.

Project Firestart. From the "Danger" written in blood to the finish, a game with incredible tension and atmosphere on the C64.
