Re: From the forum issue 94

Despite being very fond of the three Monkey Island Games (who said "there are four"? No, there's NO fourth Monkey Island game... ), my vote goes to Zak, first SCUMM game I ever played and one of the first I loaded on my Amiga. Love the story and the humour. Zlorfik!!

Re: what retro game are you currently playing ?

Since it's now whdownoadable, I've started re-playing Player Manager on the Amiga after a lot of time. And after a lot of time it's still a fantastic and compelling football game.

And I'm completing again a couple of other Miggy games, Lamborghini American Challenge and Superfrog 8)

Vanquish on the X360. Fantastic. Splendid visuals, involving, rewarding... can't get my finger off the trigger. Better than Gears of War IMO, and that's all there's to say.

Re: Great PS2 games that didnt come to UK

Front Mission 4 on first place for me. But luckily at least it had a North American release.

Front Mission 5
also... not released outside Japan, but I've been able to play it thanks to a fan translation, fantastic work.

Two great games.

For Amstrad emulation I'd stick to Caprice32. Works fine, gets the job done.

Re: The Best GBA games

Being a big rpg fan, I think the Fire Emblem and Advance Wars games are absolutely brilliant and compelling.

And a game that has not been named... Lunar Legend, a classic style rpg, interesting characters, beautiful graphics and music... splendid.

Re: What are you currently playing?

L.A. Noire. Excellent game, lip-sinc and facial expressions are on a level never seen before, IMO. Give us a quick potted review, as I've definitely got this on order. Angry Joe said it was best to play it in short bursts, so it doesn't get samey and boring. What do you think? I agree, it's not a g...

Re: From the forum Issue 93

Chrono Trigger. I remember I had never even looked at an RPG before, it was a friday evening, just after dinner and I was home alone. Loaded it, and when I looked at the clock again it was 1 o'clock. I truly was hooked, and the world of RPGs opened to me. A masterpiece.

Re: PC Love?

Well, I bought my first PC in 1995 when my Amiga alone just wasn't enough anymore. The first game I bought was The Need for Speed and I think I almost wore the cd out. Fantastic game. And I must say it was a pleasure to be able to play Championship Manager with all the delays and the floppy reads/wr...

Re: Commodore 16

I think everything has been said in these 8 pages... except for a game that's not been named: Hustler.

Not that it was outstanding, but I have fond memories of it and I remember I loaded it so many times... maybe because I liked the music :) Still a good billiard game.

Re: Who should we interview next?

Chris Butler. Even if I read that it's been tried with no luck, I still hope to see an interview with him... He was (is?) an incredible programmer.
