Re: what retro game are you currently playing ?

I'm on vacation on the seaside, and on my notebook I've loaded Championship Manager '93/'94. It's great to have Ruud Gullit 31 years old, David Platt 28, Roberto Mancini 29... :D

Re: What were/are your favourite Boardgames?

Risk is my favourite, with Trivial Pursuit close second. Always liked Monopoly, but I prefer another game to it, I don't know if it's popular internationally... the name's here is Crack , a game where your goal is to lose all your money  EDIT: ok, found it, its english name is "Go for Broke" :)

Re: Lone Wolf Game Books.

Did you know that a new LW game is in the works? :) http://lonewolfthegame.com/ By the way, I'm a great fan of the series myself, I was an avid reader when I was 11-13, and more recently I've retained all the books (the italian version) up to number 21, and battling through the saga again 8) I'm at ...

I second that. Udo Gertz's and Anco games in particular.

And I'd really like to see more on Cinemaware's works, Wings on top.

Re: The Most Controversial Games of All Time

The US Gold "repackaging" of World Cup Carnival Why? It was a two year old game, that wasn't exactly great when it was originally released, re-packaged at a much higher price. Imagine buying FIFA 12 and finding it's a tarted up version of Kick Off 3 to get the same effect today. Also Katakis re-rel...

Re: The Most Controversial Games of All Time

Totally agree on Barbarian... and another controversial game could be Spitting Image, a brawler with VIPs of the 80s, Pope included...

Re: UEFA Euro 2012

Germany is my favourite for the tournament from before it started, and still is. They're solid, some talented players, a great keeper, they've also a bit of luck that helps. And Gomes seems to be at the top of his game. As for my national team, we'll have a tough match against Croatia, they've alway...

I think Chernobyl, Raid over Moscow... and cold war related games of the time would be interesting.

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Heh, there's one of those things in our local Crack Convertors for a tenner. Let me know if its any good....i might buy it if its not truly awful. I must admit to being tempted. Handhelds do that to me.... :D Well, I've just tried it for a bit, let's say that there are actually 120 games, and some ...

Re: wii U

I bought two Nintendo consoles in my life: the GBA and the Wii. The first was great, the second a big mistake. From what I can see of the Wii U, I won't happen to buy a Nintendo console again.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Just tried Telltale's The Walking Dead , episode 1... I'm a fan of the tv series, and the game is very promising, solid spin-off, interesting characters. Telltale Games know their stuff. Just watched the first season of The Walking Dead last week and was tempted to download the game to keep me goin...

Re: Are you a gaming purist?

Emulation is great and almost perfect for many machines, and I take advantage of it for the machines I've never actually owned... but for the machines I've owned during the years, I still use the real thing, with some more modern "help". Nothing beats the Amiga with WHDload or the C64 with the 1541 ...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Just watched Olivier Marchal's MR 73 yesteday, good french-noir-style movie, good actors... part of a very interesting trilogy. As for tv series, I have to catch up with Game of Thrones, excellent series on every aspect... and I'm not a fan of the fantasy genre.
