Re: Paul Woakes tribute

Although I was familiar with and impressed by both Encounter and Mercenary, I'd have to say that his finest hour was Damocles. It was simply breathtaking to have an entire solar system to play in at the time, with lots of big cities on most of the planets and a few tucked away little secrets elsewh...

Re: From The Forum issue 176 - Favourite football game

Emlyn Hughes International Soccer. With its endless set of options and moves, editable teams, free kicks, penalties... in 1987 it was light years ahead of all the previous football games and is still better than most that have been released after.

Congrats to MPM! I have to resign my crown... this year has been the first I've been out of the podium, but I'll be back next year!

Re: Fire Emblem

Love the series, Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn are my favourites. I like the strategy given by the sword-axe-lance triangle and by all the different units, and the permanent death that makes you care about all your units and keeps you on your toes. Interesting characters and good story generally...

Re: Formula 1 2017 thread

But, at the end of the day... forza Ferrari! :D

Re: From The Forum issue 169 - 3D Games

POD: Planet of Death was the turning point for me. Luckily, because gaming in the mid-90s with the fall of Commodore and its endless "interactive movies" was becoming terrible.
