Edit: Ok, on further reading I should have probably saved this for 22-Shadow the Hedgehog [PlayStation 2]

Re: What grinds your gears ?

They are probably the drivers I fear the most on the road. The type that will go 30 in a 50 but then blow through a subsequent roundabout at 30 without even a thought to giving way unless the person to the right is basically on top of them. Both situations combine to confirm a complete lack of contr...

Re: Pokemon Go

however, if you're not in a city/town/populated area, unusual pokemon spawns are rare/don't happen. Yeah, this is a bit of a shame considering the essence of Pokemon is to go out into the far-flung wilderness to find rare catches, as opposed to the plunging depths of the busiest coffee house in you...

Wipeout (toss-up between the original and 2097; also - happy 30th birthday to The Designers Republic!)
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (going with the original as I played the absolute hell out of it at the time)
Parappa the Rapper
Either Tekken 3 or ISS Pro Evo 2

Re: Five 8-bit Games You'd Still Play Today

BBC Micro: 1. Chuckie Egg - pure platforming at its best. 2. Repton 3 - still don't get tired of going back and puzzling my way through it. 3. Free Fall - remains great fun to play and there's really nothing else quite like it. 4. The Sorcerer - gets a touch repetitive, but the unique gameplay makes...

Re: Can I compete with the younger generations?

I think it depends on the game to be honest. Rocket League is one of the more forgiving games in terms of getting older as it's more about positional awareness than twitchy reactions. The top-level players ARE ridiculous in what they can do on the field, but I think it's more about being able to kno...

Re: Games Master's Top 100 Games Ever! *Updated w/ The Write

Definitely interesting to see some of the inclusions in that list. Zero Tolerance at 51? I doubt too many people today would even know what it is without googling it, but I'm surprised to see it there even for that time period. LMA Manager at 21 over Championship Manager 2 at 32? LMA may have had fa...

Used to enjoy a bit of Railroad Tycoon 2 back in the day. Great soundtrack and the multiplayer was fun too.

Re: UK Nes original owners

I remember REALLY wanting a NES, but never actually owned one until much later on. I pretty much went straight from the BBC to the Mega Drive, but I had at least a handful of friends/relatives who owned Master Systems so I definitely have fond memories of titles from that. On the flip side, I don't ...

People that think that you can increase the video quality of a potato recording to CSI type levels  I've been handed some video that is to be used for promotional purposes and been asked to make the video "bigger" the video in question in terms of quality is the equivalent of a Youtube 360p v...
