You realise that for the last few posts I thought we were guessing a Speccy game due to your enormous sig pic?
Glad i've added to the confusion, but no, it's not the elusive Speccy version of M.U.L.E.

Re: Fallout 3 - New Vegas

No Mutants Allowed is indeed a glorious website.
I'll grab the update packs once I ditch this dodgy o2 dongle and get the 'real' interweb!

Oh, and yup, Fallout 2 IS the better of the two, but imho 1 is still pretty unmissable, despite the bugs.

Re: Fallout 3 - New Vegas

What everyone SHOULD DO though is play Fallout 2 through.. make sure to patch it first and get some cool extra mission packs from moddb or other sites.. its one of the greatest games ever! Well said, although honestly, anybody new to the series should play through the original Fallout first. If I r...

Re: Best classic Sega franchise?

Sonic. No, annoying, and as was previously stated, he's everywhere these days. Super Hang-On was superb - so much more to it than the arcade version, but i'm gonna have to say Streets of Rage. Don't think they've aged a day, amazing soundtrack and the third entry in the series was massively underrat...

Re: Screenshot challenge.

Ok, bear in mind i'm at work and viewing this on a tiny mobile screen, but is it 'That's the Spirit' by The Edge?
*Edit*

Re: Fallout 3 - New Vegas

Before I went off on holiday I startedyet another fallout 3 game. Got to go back to it actually as it's the best next gen game ever imo. Newvegas was great (if a little busted) but lacked something I couldn't put my finger on. The single most accurate thing i've read about Fallout 3 since it was re...

Re: Poll - Do you play new releases?

Do play current stuff, but to be honest, there hasn't been much around lately, save Dead Space 2, and that was brilliant, if short. Deus Ex Human Revolution should be ok though when it's released. Elder Scrolls V Skyrim too, but beyond that, i'd rather play the older stuff...

Arcade Shooters

Kind of missed out on a lot of the Retro Gamer magazines (for very valid reasons - back on the bandwagon again now!) But, even though I read your excellent article on Cave shooters not so long ago, i'm (almost) sure that you haven't had an all-round retrospective look at the evolution of arcade shmu...

Re: From the Forum Issue 90

For me it died the moment my best mate graduated from a C64 to an Amiga. I was still playing Spectrum games for years after he went all 16-bit on me, but somehow (after years of setting the Speccy and C64 up together, two TV's, arguing over which version of which game was the best) well, it was neve...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Actually, although it's not quite retro, i've just started playing Darkstar one on the PC. Fantastic game, very reminiscent of Freelancer, just, well, better in every departmen (apart from the cheesy voice acting.) On a more relevant note, my parter is currently playing Repton on the BBC and, umm, f...
