Couple of the NEO GEO titles are now half price to celebrate Terry in Smash.

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Viva Pinata

All Achievements
All Pinata Variations and Master Romanced
Full Growth Bonus on all Plants
Max level 108

Needless to say, I loved this game and believe it belongs alongside Rare's other beloved classics.

Now.....when to do the same for Trouble in Paradise.....

Re: Best DS in 2019?

I think the screen quality on DS games played on a 2DS/3DS is not as good as on the Lite or DSi, I remember it looked darker or blur-ier. Think it might look a little better on the New models but I just recall what I saw trying out DS games on my launch 3DS.

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Shame that a mooted sequel to the remake was canned. I'm a big Friday the 13th fan but these sorts of films died out for a while and when they do get released, they will never do the amount of sequels that they did in the 80's for slasher flicks. Better to just reboot, reboot and reboot some more. ...

Re: Best DS in 2019?

Worth noting that the hinges on DS Lite tend to crack under normal use so I would not only look out for that but be very careful with whatever used one you pick up. Also check any DSi/DSi XL model you come across. The Internet features maybe gone but there's a small chance there might be some games ...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

I've been playing tons of Friday the 13th The Game this year, so for Halloween it made sense to finally check out more of the movies. Only saw the first 2 before, but they brought out a blu ray recently with the first 8 movies. So in a short summery, and by 80s slasher film standards. 1- Decent 2- F...

Looks like you can add Duke Nukem 3D to the ever growing line up of retro shooters on Switch.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I'll get one eventually, but considering we might still see a "Pro" model down the line and next gen systems next year, probably not anytime soon.

Re: Just been given a 2DS XL

I would assume the Mario Kart you have was part of a bundle so it should be fine and still there if you factory reset it. If not, you might lose it. For games, based on what you said I would recommend; Ocarina of Time + Starfox 64- Both look great on the system with a new graphical polish. Can't com...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Noticed there's quite a few retro games on offer this week. Some NEO GEO, some ACA, even Nighttrap's about £3 which seems a fine price for curious me. XD I'd say it's still about £3 too much. Seriously - unlike the similar moral panics around Doom, Mortal Kombat and Carmageddon - the game its...

Re: Retro gaming in Tokyo

I'm heading out in April, and will be bringing quite a lot of money and an empty suitcase with me. I'm actually staying fairly close to Akihabara too. You might wanna check out the Hard Off/Book Off stores if you're going to absolutely grab as many games and stuff as possible. Akihabara is world fa...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

AEW Dynamite- Pretty good debut episode for the new promotion. ITV botched it a bit editing out some stuff, but I'll certainly be watching every week.

Its up on ITV Hub if anyone wants to check it out.
