Re: Are you a fan of Grim Fandango

Grim Fandango looks awesome! I say looks, because unfortunately I've not been able to play it much - my other half LOVES it and we've been trying to get it to work on Windows 7 or OS X, but as yet the best we've managed is to get a little way into the storyline, then it glitched and jumped ahead in ...

Re: Most wanted toys as a kid?

I never got a Mr Frosty! Although I've since heard that it was somewhat of a disappointment! :( The best christmas ever was the one where my parents bought me a (second-hand) boxed breadbin C64 with loads of games, when I was about 8, I think. I had no idea what one was or what it did, but had so mu...

Re: Replay Expo 2011 - Official Thread (inc name badge reque

Hi everyone! I met a few of you over the glorious weekend and inadvertently gatecrashed the group photo (when I thought it was the crew one!) - so I'm determined to remember to login more often here now I've finished uni and settled into work - I just got lazy and spend too much time loitering on Tw...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Came back from Replay with a few nice bits and bobs, I bought Bart vs the Space Mutants boxed for Game Gear (as it seems to be the game I'm acquiring on all formats!). Got Spec Ops and Dave Mirra for PS1 from Mohicankid's lucky dip and Toy Story for Mega Drive in the post-lucky dip rampage! (And I'm...

Re: Retro TV that nobody seems to remember...

Telebugs was my absolute childhood favourite, to the point me and a friend would run around the playground at infants school pretending to be them! Until getting on the Internet in the mid-90s, it seemed like nobody else remembered it!

Re: Introduce yourself

Hi everyone! Long time reader of Retro Gamer and general retrogaming affecionado, I've been meaning to register for a long time but often feel I have nothing much of interest to say in forums! However after recently chatting to a lot of retro bods on Twitter, I decided to take the plunge! My other h...

Re: Poll - Do you play new releases?

I do, but a lot of the time I tend to play revamped classics, or similar. Like Kirby's Epic Yarn on Wii - could not wait to get my hands on that! I bought a PS3 for my other half, but only after waiting til a more reasonable price. I find buying older systems in good working order, with a good wedge...
