Re: Subscriptions Queries

Good Morning.

I have not had issue 83 yet, is there a delay? I appreciate that there could be a back log from Christmas etc, just wondering if other people have had it. :)

Re: Rainbow Islands - Best Level

Hard one this. I love the colour and feel of world 1, however I do like the goth stage too. Argh.... both, I like both of them.

Re: Rainbow Islands - Best Moment

Only a few years ago playing the updated version on the PS1 collection ( same old Rainbow Islands but better graphics ), I think it was a walking stick I collected and huge bags of gold started falling down the screen. Sure they where worth around 10,000 pts each.

Re: Rainbow Islands - First Impressions

I remember getting Rainbow Islands for the Amiga in 1991 off a friend for my birthday, he wouldn't think twice about putting a £2.99 sticker over a £19.99 sticker and try it on with some young person on the till. Obviously it worked... Anyway, we fired up the game and with all the guys being ...

It's a classic because like alot of Taito games from that time, Rainbow Islands is a cracking score attack game.

Re: From the Forum question for issue 78

For me, it was right at the start of the original game on the PS1. Standing in the entrance to the first level/Tomb, the tension was ace.

Then there is the T-Rex.

Re: From the Forum question for issue 74

I had the Quickshot Python for the Amiga, that rapid fire came in handy on Zenon 2.

Re: For Christmas, this time 20 years ago.

1989 I was at Technical College. I only wanted one thing: A computer. It didn't matter which make or model, spec or anything. So naturally, I didn't get one. That said, i did get this game one year (see below) which I wanted desperately :) http://www.wesellitalldickerdealhere.com/products/images/id...

Re: For Christmas, this time 20 years ago.

Do you diarise your Christmas presents. I would have issues remembering what i did last week, let alone last year. IIRC i had dropped out of the gaming scene at that time, at least in the house, i was still playing in the Arcades. Not at all mate, I just remember what I got, great memories I would ...

For Christmas, this time 20 years ago.

So, for those of us that where around 20 years ago, what gaming goodies where you to get for Christmas 1989? I myself where to get a lovely pair of 3D glasses for my Sega Master System with Maze Hunter 3D & Out Run 3D. Also on the cards where Shinobi & The Ninja, two games I was always pinching off ...
