Re: NES Problem
Taken from mmmonkey's site: "Some people also report that disabling the lockout chip can help fix this problem, it certainly stops the flashing screen and blinking light, but you might still end up with just a grey screen." Edit: Your blog was slow to load so I didn't bother, but I guess you alread...

Re: NES Problem
Have you tried cleaning the motherboard connectors? If isopropane isn't working them some really fine sandpaper rubbed softly might do the trick. Its also possible that the replacement 72 pin adaptor is wonky. Had a few of the cheap ones refuse to work before. I did give the connectors a good clean...

Re: NES Problem
Hey guys-
I've got myself the grey screen of death, pretty much ripped the NES to bits trying to fix it. I've replaced the 72 pin connector and everything- I explain in detail in this blog post: http://www.quiteenjoy.co.uk/the-nes-and ... n-of-death
Any ideas?

Re: Who's getting a 3DS then?
I picked up a 3DS, probably a bit to early as there is (still) only Pilotwings that I would actually part with my cash for. Im holding out for Ocarina of Time 3D as I would sell my own kidneys to get into that game again (3D or not). I gave the 3DS a brief run down here: http://www.quiteenjoy.co.uk/...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week
Just completed Broken Sword II on the iPhone. Ended more abruptly than I remembered. Also it's sort of ironic that a game so full of dialogue has a mute ending cutscene.

Re: Emulation on DS
One thing that affects them all though, the DSi's dpad is horrendous. I expected the DSi to take over from my PSP as my handheld emulator but it didn't. :( I didn't realise the DSi had such a bad D pad. I have the DS lite which was a huge improvement over the original DS' D pad. Which card are you ...

Re: Emulation on DS
SCUMM is also worth a look- It's technically an emulator isnt it? Leads for some great point and click games to be played on the DS. it even supports the touch screen as the mouse cursor- I've only used the original simon the sorcerer on it but for that alone it's worth it.

Re: Master System must haves?
I used to love safari hunt- which I think was the only game I ever used the light gun for. I remember when you shot a duck in the air it instantly became cooked, yet continued to fly off. Who says video games aren't realistic eh?

Spider man is a frustrating little number for you if you have the time and low self respect.
Buttons were never the MS's strong point. Always puzzled me why the pause button was on the base unit.

No one pays enough attention to how brilliant that game was! Would love to see that series make a comeback on the DS.AC wrote:Echo all of the above, especially Wonder Boy III : The Dragon's Trap.
Also look at Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse, and Land of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse.
