Sonic The Comic collection - advice needed!

Hi all, I was having a clear-out recently and discovered my Sonic the Comic collection - over 100 comics, all very good condition bar the odd one or two which have minor wear and tear. I'm undecided yet as to whether I want to sell - guess it all depends on what I can get for them! I've no idea what...

Re: CheDonJohn's thread - N64 game boxes and manuals

I have a few N64 game boxes and manuals for sale (no cartridges), plus a few other bits and bobs. All in very good condition (were stored away for years). Will stick on here and if no interest then they'll go on ebay. Prices including P&P.

Re: Franchises and games you are surprised haven't returned

Not sure if surprised is the right word, or perhaps just disappointed, but I always expected a Knights of the Old Republic III. The Dark Force/Jedi Knight series probably could've churned out a few more, too. There absolutely needs to be a new Burnout game (and not an open-world one like Paradise wa...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Elite Dangerous - I have no idea what I'm doing! I picked up my first mission to buy some stuff for someone, but I'll be buggered if I can work out what gets sold where. I miss proper game manuals :( It's tough, isn't it?! I'd been waiting years for the PS4 release and it was the first game I'd pre...

Re: halo 5 wont install

I can't advise ob the error message but I can say that it took me a good day or more to install that game; I think it's a common thing with XBOne games but especially that one.

Vanquish was on 360 as well. Great game though.
Yes, you're right. Possibly also on PC, too? Not sure why I remembered it as a PS3 exclusive - maybe it just feels like a PS3 type of game.

Re: Reasons to get a PS3

My PS3 collection is probably my most cherished. It has pretty much all of the 360 games plus so much more. I've got it squashed into about 3 cupboards at the moment. Same here. I think the previous generation was probably the best I've experienced in terms of the range of quality games on offer. T...

Re: If you had your time again

I started with a second-hand Amstrad CPC-464 and didn't really have a choice (I was just grateful to have it!). If I could go back I would definitely have chosen an Amiga. Everything else since then - Master System, GameBoy, Mega Drive, Playstation, Dreamcast, PS2, PS3 and PS4 - I've been pleased wi...

Re: Highly rated games that you do not like.

The Metal Gear series. I liked MGS on the PS1, and number 2 was ok. Other than that, I just find them pretentious, with ridiculous plots. Agreed. I especially disliked MGS4; it's billed as a tactical espionage game, yet I found the stealth mechanic in Spiderman 2 to be more sophisticated and realis...

Re: The great big RG weight loss thread

Sorry if it's been mentioned before, but a useful tool for this kind of thing is an app called MyFitnessPal. I used it to put on weight after I lost over a stone in short period of time due to stress/depression, but it can be used for any goal. Basically it allows you to track all the food you eat a...

Re: football management games

I put many hours into Championship Manager back in the day. It was the cause of many fights in my house; one PC shared between two brothers who were addicted to the game. It was certainly an institution back then, Everyone I knew played it; people at school would often talk about their teams and tac...

Re: Blade Runner 2049 Trailer

[After Trailer] Hmmmmmm. From the slither of footage we have seen I'm loving the look of the film, its tone, the music and so on. Still sceptical though. And is Deckard a Replicant? I guess not, if he's that old - don't replicants have a short lifespan of something like 4-6 years. Unless Ford is pl...

Re: The Star Wars thread

I have a huge collection of figures from the 90s/00s - problem was, I was naive at the time and took almost all of them out of their boxes. I shudder to think what the collection might sell for now, given that I don't have any interest in keeping them. My favourite line was the Expanded Universe ran...
