Re: Is my copy of Alex Kidd in Miracle World broken?

I don't wish to throw a grenade into this, but my cart version - rice cake. In fact I've tried UK, US, Korea. Brazil and Japan roms (and a couple of revisions of all of them) in an emulator and they're all rice cake. My "built in" ROM does not work on either Dega or Kega. which is infuriating. Inte...

Re: Is my copy of Alex Kidd in Miracle World broken?

At the risk of asking a dumb question, why did you buy a loose cart of a game you already had as a loose cart, just inside the machine? It was cheap - I was seduced! :P I've never heard of a cart version having the hamburger over the onigiri, but I could be wrong. The best thing to do is use some o...

Is my copy of Alex Kidd in Miracle World broken?

A while ago I picked up a loose cart of Alex Kidd in Miracle World for the Master System. Tested it on my Master System 2 all working, all good. But since the my Master System 2 has this game built in, how do I know if it’s playing the cart or the built in game? So I googled. Apparently the way to t...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Got myself a Tapewave Zodiac 2, of course my PC refuses to recognise it, does anyone have experience of these, how to get software on it, I have managed to Bluetooth some stuff over, but apart from a Tetris game it plays nothing, the software is in the games folder, but I guess the files are not in...

Where can I get a decent PSP battery?

Bought a PSP (slim model - PSP3000) cheap on eBay last year and I'm loving the games, but the battery life on mine is pretty bad. I've been looking for a decent battery, but not sure how reliable the unofficial batteries available on eBay are? Does anyone have any experience with any sellers that th...

Re: stumbling across extremely valuable games

These spring to mind: -Boxed mint condition Dreamcast with 5 games (nothing rare though) - £5 -2 x ZX Spectrum 2 systems, with around 90 tapes - £5 -Megadrive 2 with Mega CD and a few games (again, nothing rare) - £5 -Boxed Amstrad GX4000...

Re: Night Trap

One of the first Mega CD games I ever bought - probably around 1997. I paid £5 for a second hand copy. Part of disc 1 was actually shattered - massive cracks through a small section of the disc. Thing is, it still worked, just became really jerky right at the end of disc 1. Found it a bit frustratin...

Re: If you ever goto bury town centre

Some of the games in that window must have been there at least 15 years! I bought my SNES from there - must have been mid 90s, then couple of years later got a Megadrive, Mega CD, Saturn and eventually an N64 all from that shop. (and always by trading in the previous system too!) I still have a look...

Re: Your First PC?

My first PC was an Amstrad 286 back in 1991. (1 MB Ram, 40 MB HD) My dad had got is a couple of years earlier on some deal from his work, and it had just been sat in boxes. The first time we switched it on the power supply blew - it had been set to 110V :( When it was finally repaired it ended up sa...
