Hiya Staypuft, nice trip?

Any chance you could pick me up one of those packs? I haven't seen them anywhere and I specifically want the anthology.

Not Retro in the slightest, but Battlefield 1942 (especially with the Desert Combat mod) is just superb in my book.

In terms of rettro, I'd have to say maybe Green Beret even though many don't appreciate the C64 version as mush at it deserves.

This game is awesome, but has one of the hardest final levels ever. You need to take on about 4 uberpowerful bosses in a row with no save points or health pickups. I uncovered a way to hack the save file to help you get past it though...and in fact if there's anywhere else you are struggling it'll h...

Picked up both the Intellivision and Tetris dtv units for less than $10 (AU) each.

BMX Flyer hand held game for about $40

And I COULD have bought a Sega CD and one of those 32bit thingies with 5 games for $40...doh!

Re:

"Your Computer" gave away some kind of floppy plastic record (you were supposed to place it on top of a real record to make it more rigid). It had C64 and Speccy software on it I think. However, mine was scratched and never worked. This was what I was thinking of, but IIRC, it wasn't software, but ...

I've been really happy with my Supercard, what worries me is that their official webpage is gone AWOL though.

What I love most about it though is that you can use it to do real-time saving in ANY of your GBA games...Great for saving just before you take on an end-of-level boss...

I'm afraid I (generally) have a slight objection to 3D powered screen savers. Once Direct 3D or OpenGL engages, up goes both the graphics card's and CPU's temperature to almost full load, even if it's a relatively simple 3D task. During my PC's idle time, I want it to run as cool as possible. 2D scr...

Check this: http://www.poke53280.de/gallery/zoom/147_600.jpg If you dig around on their main site, you'll find two very interesting things. Firstly, there's an old tech demo you can play, which is still quite good. Secondly, they have a movie showing the latest build which is absolutely jaw-dropping...
