Re: New “retro” Console.
Being Android, the Ouya was never going to be a winner. This thing looks a little more niche, so I don't doubt it'll find its market. That may just be 3 people, but it'll find them. Hipsters? That market was me, kickstarter and all. I don't think I've played it but for a handful of time since it ar...
Re: Today
Today I remembered this forum, and how I couldn't contribute to the Castlevania IV section of the magazine because my SNES was all packed up already.

Why isn't there an option for the game and a hardback copy of the book?

There's a copy or two around here. Not the cheapest price, though.richie freebird wrote:Where'd you get Custers Revenge? I can never seem to find that one on sale anywhere!

Re: Today
Today is the first time I've posted in a while. How goes it, folks? (Btw, is "how goes it" commonly used in the UK? I recently learned it sounds really strange in Australia, apparently.)

Another vote for Secret of Mana, and also try something from the Soul Blazer (or Blader in EU I think) trilogy (Soul Blader, Illusion of Time, and Terranigma). I'm not sure if those three are on the VC or not, but they're great action-RPGs (so no random or turn-based battles).

Re: King of Collectors: Full Playstation 2 NTSC Library Seal
There's probably people out there who collect books in mint condition, never opening them in order to preserve the spine. I've never met or heard of anyone, but I'd be willing to bet that there's at least someone who collects every printed edition of The Lord of the Rings and keeps them in pristine...

Re: King of Collectors: Full Playstation 2 NTSC Library Seal
I agree with the above posters who point out how ridiculous the coin/stamp comparison was, especially Pixiu who brought up music CDs and movie DVDs. That's how I view games, too. As a collector, I would love the boxes and manuals for all my games, but the only things I would keep sealed are the thin...

I too found an XBOX, and actually that's why I even have one. I also found my current TV on the side of the road. Works perfectly for my older systems.DPrinny wrote:Found a XBox once.

Re: what console does nothing for you ?
I'll one day take a look at pre-NES stuff, but I haven't been bothered too much to do so. Same goes with the Master System. I'm sure a lot of games are great, my Game Gear port of Sonic is fun, but there's just so much goodness with the NES through PS1 that I haven't been able to go look at the all ...
