Re: What are you currently playing?

Spotted Ridge Racer 6 for £3 so it had to be done. I wasn't expecting to get any online races, but pleseantly surprising how many people still play this.

Re: Who has Crysis2 (Xbox 360)

Hows the A.I in hold up in SP campain? ( I have zero intrest in taking it online-My gaming collection got more than enough 'Running with a gun' types as is). Friend of mine has it on 360, said he'd noticed points where it was almost as bad as early FPS days:2 guards next to each other, take out 1, ...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Nier - ending A. I'll probably give it another run through for ending B. You don't have to do a complete run through for endings B, C or D. You start in the library from just after the fight with the boss that regenerates. For endings C and D you need all of the weapons. The weapons don't have to b...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Crysis 2. A little slow in hitting its stride to begin with, but a nice change from the usual console fps milarky. Although, I think some may see it as a taking steps backwards from the original.

Re: Yakuza 3

Have you managed to figure out how to pull off the unique heat move with the big dude? (Taiga) I think he's supposed to have a heat move which activates when you knock an enemy into the air or something but for the life of me I can't figure it out! Glad to see that Kiryu retains his Cigerette heat ...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Not played Kotor for donkeys... will have to go back to it someday.

Picked 'The Orange Box' up cheap today so I'll be giving that a blast over the weekend.

Re: Yakuza 3

Sorry old bean.. didn't realise you'd played the first two. It depends tbh, if you can just stick to Y3's main campaign then I don't see too much of a problem. I can't do that with these games myself though.. I just get too tempted and go on the wander or welly the mini-games.

Re: Yakuza 3

if the past recap movies are anything to go by then they do tend to miss out odd points here and there. Agreed... and you miss out on all the ass kicking.... Cheers over Kenzan etc... I'll definitely get round to the Psp games.. :D Just playing the Yakuza 4 demo. The first guy seems to be the...

Re: Franchises that have lost there way this gen

I think if Resi 5 was set at night with lots of shocks and scare people would love it. It is a good game to play, it just seems to lack atmosphere. Imagine it at night in fog and with rain and storms. :D I'd have definitely got on better with it had that of been the case. I think what did me in the...

Re: Yakuza 3

Do you think it's a must to play 3 before 4? Or could it be skipped. I maybe wrong, but going off the other games I'd say you'd be better off playing them in order. The storyline has a lot of backstory and characters which over arches throughout all of the games (kind of like how boxsets do) its no...

Re: Franchises that have lost there way this gen

DMC4 suffered the same problem that Metal Gear Solid 2 had. Changing the main character to a slightly less baddass/unlikeable character. It was a lazy idea. I dont know about it being better than the main game but it was definately a great addition. It did feel very nostalgic to be wandering around...

Re: Franchises that have lost there way this gen

My Mrs is a big Resi fan and she dl'd Lost in Nightmares. I had a blast and quite enjoyed it; definitely better than the main game.

Its not I can't see the potential. I'm just not a fan of the franchise being too shooty, which is the same reason I didn't really like 4.
