Re: When Collecting Begins to Take Over

I don't drink, smoke or gamble but still have very little to spend on any sort of hobbies. That said, a lot of it would be down to who you know, timing and sheer luck. I bought most of my SNES games about 10 years ago when prices were far lower, although I wish I'd spent a bit more and got the boxe...

Re: When Collecting Begins to Take Over

It may be that there's other things they don't spend money on, for example i don't really drink anymore so that saves me a substantial amount, i quit smoking years ago so again that's a big saving. Now i'm not saying you smoke and drink but chances are there's expenses you have that they simply don't

Re: When Collecting Begins to Take Over

Great post, wish I could "like" it. but i certainly don't buy colour variants (why would i want 10 N64s at £50 a time?) or slight revisions such as the saturn variants The only reason I'd ever do that is to make some kind of display. But then, whilst it would look amazing, it's a sad state of affai...

Re: When Collecting Begins to Take Over

Currently only collect for PS2/2600 and VHS tapes, but only spend under a fiver on each and no sports games see, Prinny again has rules, PS2/2600 but won't spend silly money (and there really are some silly money PS2 games out there now) and doesn't want sports titles, so while technically that PS2...

Re: When Collecting Begins to Take Over

It's about setting boundaries and rules to your collection, for example i have a couple of basic rules; 1: No Full Sets - for me personally i've no intention of collecting a complete set of games for any system, partly because when you do that you've gotta buy so many censored games you'd never wann...

Re: Anyone going to Blackpool event at end of April?

Re: Funstock and refunds

I've bought from funstock a couple of times without problem but on my last order i had problems and their "customer service" was absolutely dire, so much so that i definitely won't buy from them again. I still use them as a website to see what cool stuff is coming out but i look elsewhere to actuall...

Re: Secret Santa 2015

Well, i think that about wraps it up for another year, as far as i'm aware there are no outstanding gifts so again i'd like to thank everyone who took part for making it worth while. Its no easy task setting this up and keeping track but when i see how happy people are with their items it makes it a...
