PS3 standby fault question.... HELP US LADS!
My 2nd PS3 died today, mid game of Fifa. The red standby LED will illuminate, but when the front touch button is pressed to boot the system up, it flashes green for a moment, then yellow, then beeps three times, and then the fan powers back down and the system comes to rest with a steady red flashin...

Re: Play Blackpool, 3/4 May 14. Replay return to spiritual h
Anyone recommend me a decent hotel, in reasonably close proximity to the venue? I don't mind paying around about £100 for a peaceful, clean and comfortable night's sleep. Previous trips to Blackpool for me have been spent in hotels full of rowdy druggies and low quality rooms of squalor. Sod that ag...

Emulation Questions?
Could anyone recommend any reliable (and more importantly - easy to set up) emulators that are compatible with Windows 8 for the following systems: NES SNES Atari 7800 Apologies if emulator talk is somewhat taboo here, I do own numerous physical copies of each of these consoles (modded and un-modded...

I think I'll be on for this one. Just asked the missus and it was an instant yes from her, so it looks like a goer! This will only be my second event, after attending the weekend at Wolverhampton Race course last year, but we were blown away by what we saw there. Also, as life long North-Westerners ...

Re: Martial art movies
I watched the utterly bat-poo insane Enter the Invincible Hero (1977) the other night. Directed by notorious Kung Fu Z-movie nut case Godfrey Ho (described on Wikipedia as the Ed Wood of Hong Kong). Wow, what an awesome but baffling affair that film was, I totally jolly well loved it. Bruce Lee clon...

Help me locate an article / box out please...
Good day, fine forum. I can't remember the issue, and I can't even remember the main article, but some time over the past few months there was a little box out section showing games that were kind of unofficial tie ins to 80's action movies like Commando and the Rambo films. In the box out there wer...

Re: Martial art movies
They are drastically different films, style-wise, but all fantastic in their own right. Harakiri has a really gradual and methodical pacing. Once all of the slowly unravelling pieces of the plot become apparent though, it builds into a thrilling (and very cleverly worked) conclusion, which makes the...

Re: Easy and fun: 2 player games on the Saturn
Thanks chaps. I can't run imports, (that I'm aware of any way). I only have the standard, un-modded PAL Saturn with no peripherals or add ons. I'm just looking for some really simple and basic “pick up and play” offerings for little bursts of friendly competitive play. Obviously I'll be letting her ...

Re: Martial art movies
Kurosawa stuff with mifune is all good Yojimbo, seven samurai, rashomon etc. Forgot to pick up on this part. I also have quite a lot of Kurosawa's works (which are invariably masterpieces). It was actually Seven Samurai that got me into the genre of vintage sword fighting flicks. As mentioned, Yoji...

Re: Martial art movies
Not the game franchise the old japanese movie! Ah yes, Sonny Chiba's classic martial arts romp. I have the anthology box set of The Street Fighter movies, and also a spin off film called Sister Street Fighter. Chiba really oozes charisma in these flicks. His acting is superb. I think though, even m...

Re:
I payed quite a bit of money for a switch modded Master System model 1 and a switchless modded SNES. Both the consoles came exactly as described, and in good condition for their age (the Master System was in outstanding shape). I was very happy with the service. The only (very minor) thing I'd say, ...
