Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Enduro Racer for the Master System. Cart only. £3.28 including postage. Bit of a bargain, I reckon.

Re: Can anyone recommend a Retropie supplier?

Anyone who sells you a pre-built RetroPie SD card is acting illegally. It is not available under a commercial license, and is only to be downloaded from the RetroPie website for free. And setting up an SD card for it is hardly a difficult task. Download the image, use a program such as Etcher to wri...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Had a week off work, so began to introduce the wife to some of the films she has previously dismissed as "your rubbish horror films": Alien/Aliens/Alien 3/Alien Resurrection (I know the last one is awful, but I had to have her finish the box set). Highlander (she really didn't like this). Poltergeis...

Re: The New gen thread PS5/XBOXsX (feat PONG)

I have a suspicion that the AMD chip shortage is partly artificial to drive prices on their new GPUs. Sony & MS will have placed their orders well over 12 months ago for the chips required for the new gen systems (that's when the specs will have been locked down), so AMD had plenty of time to stockp...

Re: The New gen thread PS5/XBOXsX (feat PONG)

Sony (and to a lesser extent Microsoft) haven't helped things by launching the systems when they did. It was obvious that there wouldn't be enough hardware to meet demand, not in the launch batch, nor in the months to follow. From a consumer point of view, it would probably have been better had they...

Re: The New gen thread PS5/XBOXsX (feat PONG)

I'm content to wait until I can walk into a shop (probably GAME), trade in my PS4 Pro & Xbox One S, and walk out with a PS5.

Re: Hot topic discussion

I'm 42 years young. I always say that 2 generations back is "retro", so the Xbox 360 and PS3 are now "retro" (the 360 is now 16 years old!).

Re: Chillblast PC Build

It's older. The GPU it uses was released in 2017. IIRC, the 580rx is essentially the same as the previous gen 480rx.

Personally, I would pick a GeForce 1660 instead. Newer chip, and a better performer.

Nice to get this the other day, not keen on the subscriber cover as we've had a blueprint style one before for one of the other machines
IIRC, it was for the PlayStation, so this cover is a nice companion to it IMHO.

Re: Project Y - New Megadrive game

The developer "Fonzie" had a poor reputation for dealing with his customers going all the way back to the Pier Solar release apparently.

Have to love how he bemoans that releasing Paprium has made him a loss... Yet he shipped people leather things with their copies...
