Re: Game Gear Micro Coming

They seem impractically small and overpriced for what you get, but they are cute and typically Japanese, so the fact they made something so wacky still puts a smile on my face. I'm sure it's only meant as a collector's novelty and I think it's only going to be released in Japan anyway.

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

The Bar. A Spannish film about a group of mostly strangers who are trapped in a bar while people mysteriously die around them. The film starts great but gradually loses some interest as the mystery unfolds, it's by no means bad though and is worth a watch on the strength of the first half.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

The Switch has had a few issues such as the Joycon drift, but conceptually it's great, and I play docked with a controller most of the time anyway. The library is already superb and the future is looking bright. Wish we were still getting the traditional big Direct presentation around now but I'm st...

Re: Coronavirus

The analogy with smoking is a really bad one though. Second hand smoke is obviously dangerous, but it's also visible and cannot be re-transmitted throughout a community. That wasn't the point I was making. If a person smokes, they have decided they don't care about their respiratory health and the ...

Re: Coronavirus

What is essential anyway? The whole lockdown is a farce. Perhaps instead of saying "take care" to each other , we ought to try "take responsibility". If you don't feel confident enough to mingle with the masses, then don't. Consider your own behaviour first instead of judging others and how they cou...

Extracurricular, a Korean drama series on Netflix. Really good, gripping from start to end.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Having said that, I have bust out Metroid Prime for the first time in about 10 years. The control scheme is immense; I forgot intuitive it was. I also had a quick blast on killer7, a bit of a wild ride, and very much an autuer game, it seems to deconstruct a lot of game mechanics. But the presentat...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Extraction. Pretty decent watch, very much like Man On Fire meets The Raid, so not very original but still a thrilling ride, and features a great long, single-take action scene.

Time to Hunt. Korean crime thriller. Was quite good but also nothing special.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

It puzzles me, they have had 2-3 years to buy a Switch, now all of a sudden people want one and the more idotic people are paying over the odds for it. I thought all those types of Nintendo fans already own one? They probably do, not every person buying one now is a dedicated 'Nintendo fan'. I thin...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I picked up The Touryst is the sale, had my eye on that for a while. What's the storage like on a Switch Lite? Tempted to go full digital myself if I get one but I don't want a PS4 situation where it fills up super-quick and you have to keep deleting stuff. It has 32GB internally, which is fine for ...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

The direct just happened this afternoon, quite long for a 'mini' but nothing too earth shattering announced or shown. I'll probably get 5-6 games from it though. There's a Bravely Default 2 demo out today.
