Re: Online index of RetroGamer

It would also help to put up the starting page number and size of article. thx for the input (and sry for the late reply). starting page could be done (but after knowing in which issue an article is in, it shouldn't be a problem finding it using the printed table of content); regarding the size of ...

Re: Retro Gamer Features Index spreadsheet

hej there,

looks like i'm not the only one trying to index the whole retro wisdom of the mag. My approach is using tags for describing the single articles of the mag. have a look: topic for discussion and database

Re: Online index of RetroGamer

- author acknowledgements (where possible) - cross-referencing with the Anthology/bookazines Good ideas, inclusion of bookazines shouldn't be a problem. No idea of how to handle acknowledgements yet as I don't really know if there are that many, but I'm open for suggestions. The only things I could...

Re: Online index of RetroGamer

thx for the input. Well, the only content searchable are the titles of the articles (as the texts aren't and won't be available in the database). Personally, I don't really think that scanning the titles would be that helpful. Searching for specific tags could be done easily, but my approach is rath...

Online index of RetroGamer

Hi everyone, as we already have 78 issues of the wonderful mag it's getting more and more difficult to keep an overview of what has been covered yet. Further, it isn't enough to know that something has been covered but having no clue in which issue the article is in; flickering through 78 issues isn...

Re: Subscriptions Queries

Any updates on my case? :? Still the same question. Haven't got neither a e-mail nor a PM nor any mags. Well, any chance getting my money back? I hate to say it, but it looks like I have to cancel my subscription as I still haven't got any message concerning my subs. I'm also sorry for Darran & the...

Re: FPS Games = Motion Sickness?

Actually, I've never ever had a motion sickness problem playing FPS, but watching one is kinda hard. I also can't play Dead Space: Extraction for more than an hour straight. I guess, it's because of the lacking control over the camera.

Re: Good 2-player games on the Wii?

Trauma Center-New Blood can also be played by 2 players simultaneous, if you're looking for something different than the already mentioned shooters (RE:UC, HotD:Overkill, Dead Space,...). Another game would be Alien Syndrome , but I wouldn't spend more than 10€ on that one. Via WiiWare, you could a...

Re: Great Retro-gaming websites - the sticky thread!

Well, as the inspiration for my website was the R-Type article in RetroGamer issue #21, it couldn't be wrong to promote it via the RetroGamer-board ;-)
Find some "really large screenshots" (the sites former name) at c64screenshots.com; for keeping up to date, use the rss-feed.

Hope you like it.
