How much is it for the PAL version, might consider buying it soon.

Re: Sonic the hedgehog - MASTER SYSTEM

I actually prefer the Master System version over the Mega Drive. The second game however, is infuriating You think Sonic 2's difficult on the Master System? Try it on the Game Gear, no allowances made for the smaller screen size and I'm pretty sure the jump timing is a little off as well. Absolutel...

USELESS FACT!
First TV show to feature CGI characters, that. Impressive stuff for 1986.

Stimpson J. County are ready for another season of lower-mid-table mediocrity when I forget about micro-management in February like I always do.

Re: Football game theme tunes

I don't know if it has a name but the intro theme for FIFA '96 on the Mega Drive is what I believe is called a bangin' choon.

An Android box would also be a fairly inexpensive, versatile and relatively easy to set-up option.

Uses the original controllers
No, it doesn't. Those have 9-pin connectors like an Atari 2600 or Mega Drive.

no idea about the picture/sound quality.
It uses AV so it's going to look like arse on a modern TV. And the sound's gonna be in mono too.

Not to mention counter-productive.

I was never one for the more... how can I put it... passionate threads and don't go near them on the Canteen either. These places should be an escape from that kind of thing IMHO.

Re: C+VG's Retro Sections from the 90s

Apologies, it's been a while since I checked. I was sure they had some later ones at one point.

I would suggest Out Of Print Archive but it seems they've only got a few from '95/'96.

Re: C+VG's Retro Sections from the 90s

Your best bet for scans is probably Archive.org - IIRC they have most if not all issues of C&VG available as PDFs. Freeplay was a 16-bit monochrome pullout printed on yellow paper. It featured sales charts, unsubstantiated rumours, reader's drawings and ideas for games, tips and cheats and of course...
