Re: Retro gaming in Tokyo
I went to Tokyo in August and there were some great game bars there, I had a go on a virtual boy and held a 64DD in my excited little hands. The police are shutting quite a few of them down tho, for using modern consoles in the bars. Apparently people buying drinks and playing current and last-gen g...

Re: GBA Collecting
Issue with fakes is that they dont save, and a lot of time its hard to tell via ebay until they arrive, which is just a ballache. Never had issues with refunds from fakes (as they people know they are doing it and dont want to get reported) but its just a giant waste of time.

Re: GBA Collecting
Just bought a GBA micro and starting looking at grabbing some more GBA stuff, but most of the ebay stuff is super fake so I can barely trust it unless its boxed (and therefore expensive). Any tips?

Re: Fire Emblem
Started with Awakening, then GBA VC releases of Sacred Stones and Fire Emblem. Loved all three of them, especially Awakening which is in my top 5 games. Then I blitzed through the three Fates campaigns and it was all a bit 'meh' - dull characters, bland maps. The best path was the final one imo, but...

Re: The XBOX ONE / PS4 discussion thread
My missus just bought me an XBone for my birthday. Great to be able to play some of the multiplatform stuff (I'm usually a Nintendo guy) but holy christ the system architecture is bad. So slow to download anything (FIFA took around 10 hours!) and navigating the menus is a total ballache. Apparently ...

Re: Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
Last time I played an open world I sunk into this much was Red Dead Redemption, and event then I mostly followed the story, just getting sidetracked here and there. For Zelda I'm 30 hours down and I've only followed the story as far as the first Divine Beast. I find I get sidetracked, get sidetracke...

Re: Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
My girlfriend picked me a copy up after my Amazon order got delayed, spent a chunk of the weekend playing it (Wii U), absolutely loving it so far. 19hrs in and I've just mostly been exploring, theres so much to do and so many distractions and it looks and plays wonderfully. Only complaint is that th...

Re: Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
Just spoken to amazon. I'm not sure I'll actually get mine. "We are out of stock.there is a *possibility* we will get more stock over the weekend" I ordered this month's ago. Would have ordered elsewhere had I known. This is worrying, I preordered months ago, don't really want to cancel and buy som...

I'm about halfway through Codemane Steam, enjoying it a lot in short bursts. Just started Typoman, pretty fun and quirky game, my missus gets the puzzles way quicker than me. Also started Darksiders 2, its ok so far but not really grabbing me.

Re: 3DS Games discussion/Collecting thread
I was really excited that FE Warriors was coming to 3DS....until I realized it was New 3DS exclusive. I don't want to have to spend £100 upgrading my XL dammit!

Re: 3DS Games discussion/Collecting thread
Been playing Fire Emblem Fates and a bit gutted to find that I'm finding it extremely dull! I don't really understand this too much since I ploughed an INSANE amount of time into Awakening and really, really loved it. The only thing I can think of is that simply not liking any of the characters or ...
