Re: Tempest 4000 Announced
Yeah I'm another that gets the feeling this is just a legal way of legally freeing TxK from the vita, it'll be the same game with a lick of paint. I guess that's not a bad thing though, it's natural home is VR and the game deserves to find a larger audience. I've always thought it's crazy how far I ...

Re: Obscure Platform games
NES Darkwing Duck was pretty good, it's heavily influenced by Megaman. Asterix - I guess he counts as a cartoon character, only released in Europe so gets overlooked, it's a solid game but perhaps is most notable for having some of the best music on the system. GBA Go! Go! Beckham! Yes seriously. It...

Re: If you had your time again
I'm pretty happy with my system history, I wish my family had the money to get a few extra consoles/PCs but that's not something I could change. Trying to treat my Amiga as a console was a mis-step but I still liked it. My main gaming regret it getting my parents to spend way to much money on it's c...

Re: So, tell me about the original Nintendo Wii......
I loved the pointer stuff and think split controllers are the future. Anyway I believe you can mod a lot of games to remove the waggle, Donkey Kong Country Returns probably benefits the most from it. Rodea The Sky Soldier was one of the last decent games, it was a WiiU release of a crappy version th...

Re: Opinion on Limited Run Games (LRG)?
Trouble is the rarity is a large part of the appeal to a lot of people, included scalpers. It's a tricky situation for a small company as they can't afford left over stock and need each release to sell out quickly to help fund the next release. If they overestimate demand for more niche games they'l...

Re: Jeff Minter's Polybius
So this is out, anybody played it yet?
Sadly it's the sort of game I'd want on a portable so I just played TxK instead but I hope it's good (VR ain't an option and I doubt it's suited to remote play).

Spelunky. Mostly because I did the daily challenge every day for a long time. I'm over 2000 runs now even if that number is a little inflated by the quickly aborted speed runs.
Vita btw so I'm counting it as this gen.

Re: Has Competing Hardware simply become an annoyance?
Yes but at least the competition keeps them in check, MS couldn't get away with their original XB1 plans and MS forced Sony to turn around the mess they made with the PS3 at launch. It's a shame Sony seem to have given up on making handhelds, I liked the genuine differences between Sony and Nintendo...

Re: Which Games look best on a shelf.
I'd imagine that Japanese GBA boxes would look great but I can't seem to find any pics of them on shelves to back that up.

Re: Need vita buying advice
Some PS1 games can take up surprising amount of room and the vita has a stupid system where the save is linked to the game, so if you delete the game you delete the save file, you have to back it up on PC/PS3 to keep it. It might be best to check the store and see the file sizes of your PS1 games. G...

A censored season pass for Zelda? They're actually charging for a harder difficulty mode. Starting when the game launches on 3rd March, players will be able to purchase an Expansion Pass for £17.99/€19.99, granting access to two new sets of downloadable content for the game when they become availabl...

Re: Is there a market for PC game boxes?
Any idea if there'd be much interest in the remnants of my Amiga collection? Or how much they'd be worth both just as boxes and as working games (I think a couple stopped working). Seems like they'd be a be a nightmare to post especially if people are paying for the (mostly) good condition of the bo...

1. Mario 3 (With e-reader levels) 2. Advance Wars (and it's sequel) – Tough to split, I guess 1 if I have to 3. Mother 3 4. WarioWare: Twisted Rest aren't really in much of an order but... 5. Zelda: LttP 6. Kurukuru Kurin 7. Minish Cap 8. Mario & Luigi: SuperStar Saga 9. Final Fantasy 6 10. Super Ma...

Re: Nintendo Discontinuing Wii U from this Friday
I should love the WiiU as the heavy focus on platfomers and off-TV play suits my tastes perfectly. Yet I never bought one because at some point the tablet would break through my stupidity or wear and tear and it will either be expensive to get repaired/replaced or in years to come near impossible as...

Re: Playstation Vita games discussion thread
Sad to hear Oddworld is so prone to crashing, I can't deal with that again after Olli Olli crashed every time I tried to play it before it was patched. I've been putting off buying Nuclear Throne until that gets patched too. I got one of the LRG copies too, I was planning on playing it for the on ca...
