Re: Save our forum!
Well, I don't know about anyone else, but the forum stopped sending out password reset emails about a year ago. I forgot my password, couldn't reset it and eventually just walked away.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 164
Ditto, this issue looks much more interesting to me. Although 163 did get me to finally play Tomb Raider Underworld...markopoloman wrote:There wasn't a massive amount in 163 that was 'up my street' and was read & filed rather quickly - BUT this issue is far more to my liking...

I did the same thing back when Doom 3 was released. Being a Mac gamer isn't easy (or cheap). I played some shoddy ports in my time...

I remember seeing Mortal Kombat at the cinema. What a way to open a movie!

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?
Arrival 2016.... id been looking forward to this for some reason... maybe just because I have a fancy for Amy Adams. The aliens themselves were suitably weird with good noises but I found the plot and especially the ending a bit vague and woolly and this is not an action movie - not that I went int...

Re: What are you currently playing?
Playing through the latest Doom on the PS4. I'm really loving the simplicity of it all - just shoot stuff. No cinematic story crap, no stupid two weapon limit, just pure shooting action against loads of different enemies. Feels like the Doom sequel I've wanted for a while, and one of my favourite F...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week
Completed Gods on the Mega Drive, through emulation with save states. It might be considered cheating, but that games bloody hard. Well done. I could never get past one of the switch puzzles on, like, level 3 or something. I completed The Last Guardian yesterday. I don't mind admitting to getting a...

I have no interest in the Switch, but OMG Super Mario Odyssey looks amazing! Guess I'll be getting one then!
Re: Today
Today my dog died.
Still, he had a good run. 16 is apparently pretty old for a jack russell.

Re: What are you currently playing?
Playing The Last Guardian at the moment, which is just incredible. Some of the set pieces are jaw dropping. Also playing the original Fallout on my laptop. Is it just me, or is this a lot harder than the later Bethesda Fallouts? I can't believe a rat killed me! And finally, I'm playing a bit of Wik ...

Re: Is there a market for PC game boxes?
As with everything retro, people do collect old "big box" PC games. That's the ridiculously huge 90s boxes, not those dvd case little boxes you see in game shops these days.
I'm sure you'd find someone who just wants the box.

Re: 3DS Games discussion/Collecting thread
Been enjoying some 3D classics collection. Quite enjoying Power Drift and even used the 3D for a little while . Played through Sonic yet again , can't help doing the level select cheat even though I don't actually use it for anything. Altered Beast is a bit gash but that was expected and currently ...

Re: Hooking up retro systems to HDMI
Issue 162 had a "How To Play Retro Today" feature. That might be a good place to start?
