Re: Photo's of your retro collection.

As mentioned in another thread, I've had to pack up my game room ... for now. Trying to decide what to do with it all. Though I did take one of my SNES consoles and a few games to work recently, as we have a large, old CRT TV lying around (mainly for the cricket in summer). Anyway, when the bo...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I'm back people! After being kicked out of my previous residence I've had to pack up my game collection and put it in storage until I figure out either where I can put it (or where I can offload some of it ... which I'd rather not do). Anyway, nothing much new from me over the past 4-5 months, thoug...

Re: Ebay idiots

...Further to this, there's a guy I know that is constantly complaining about buyers bitching about him and his products, and that he's trying to do the right thing etc. But from what I've seen, I actually think he's the dodgy one - not listing items in their actual condition, charging a heap for po...

Re: Ebay idiots

I've sold on eBid and Oztion (Australian site), but they both suck IMO - just not as much exposure I guess. There was another games specific auction site here in Australia - gameauctions.com - or something of the like. It was pretty good, but it seemed everyone charged a mint for postage, and would ...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I think I've been a bad boy and bought a heap of games for myself before buying everybody's Christmas presents. Oh well, here's the Goldstar 3DO I bought - it arrived last week while I was away:- http://desmond.yfrog.com/Himg611/scaled.php?tn=0&server=611&filename=b74wv.jpg&xsize=640&ysize=640 While...

Re: What games/consoles DID YOU THINK you bought this week??

Some months back I bought Metroid Prime 3 ex rental from the local Blockbuster. Got it home and the disc they game me was actually Metroid Prime Trilogy - Kind of cool to have the lot, but it sucks being in the wrong case.

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

The Twin Famicom I ordered a couple of weeks ago arrived today.

Over the weekend I also arranged to buy a boxed Goldstar 3DO. Would have preferred an FZ-1 (just for the looks), but the Goldstar will do for now.

Re: Photo's of your retro collection.

This somehow excites me. I always loved the look of the 64 + 64DD. I want one. I'd wanted one ever since I saw the first promos for it back in the 90s. I was annoyed that they were never released outside of Japan, but after seeing the games available these days, I can understand that. Speaking of d...

Re: 3DS Games discussion/Collecting thread

Apologies if it's already been brought up, but after ordering the Game & Watch Collection for NDS (via the Nintendo Club), I was wondering if we'd ever see a Virtual Boy Collection for the 3DS. Or, if anyone else here would like such an item? I'd played the Wario World game some time back, and thoug...

Re: Photo's of your retro collection.

Finally got around to hooking up the 64DD this morning. Turns out it needs the Expansion Pack installed before the 64DD is even recognised (the reason I couldn't get it working last week). Here's Sim City 64 anyway:- http://desmond.yfrog.com/Himg614/scaled.php?tn=0&server=614&filename=5ukti.jpg&xsiz...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Not sure if I put it in this thread earlier (couldn't see it), but a few days ago I ordered a Sharp Twin Famicom for about AUD $150 (inc postage), so am looking forward to that. Also ordered Gyruss and Castlevania on the Famicom Disk System as well as an unknown FDS game which appears to be related ...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

During the week I ordered a complete copy of Doom on the Jaguar. A mate of mine in the US also ordered me a complete copy of Doom II for the Tapwave Zodiac - so pretty soon I'll have all official console releases of the Doom series. I also ordered some custom Battlefield 3 t-shirts with our clan/squ...

Re: Best racing game ever?

If you're talking 'Simulator' style, I'd have to go with rFactor ... So many mods out there for it. Used to love racing in one of our local leagues. Also saw it being used as a simulator at Bathurst in October. As for arcade games I'd say Daytona USA - still love playing a few rounds on this (if I c...

Re: Goldeneye Reloaded 360/PS3

Saw this available in stores yesterday - been thinking of grabbing it. I have the Wii version, but again, I didn't like the controls (it was my first Wii game and I simply haven't tried it since getting other controllers - might be something to do tonight). From what I've seen, it does look like a g...
