Let's Get Retro (reviews and comparisons of arcade ports)
I'd a quick post about this last year , but seeing as the channels changed name and focus (and has a few more videos)I thought I'd give it a mention again. Just in case this is anyones cup of tea, my channel "Let's get Retro" is doing random game reviews/plays , and also big (WAY too bloody big) loo...

Re: Skyrim - Missed the bandwagon?
It ended up being a sort of offline WOW subsitute for me.will2097 wrote:HA! HA!
I looked at the box art, immediately thought WoW clone. I may give it a go.
Thanks chaps!
There is an MMO set in the same universe due out in the next yeat , which really does look to be a bit of a wow clone.

Re: From The Forum issue 112 Mega Drive
Mercs , even though it was single player ,(compared to the arcade cabs three player fun) I still loved it , Plus! it included an RPG-lite extra game that was totally massive and completely unique.Oddly enough , despite it getting high scores at the time ,one of the Meg' magazines took a dislike to ...

Re: Skyrim...has it got boring?
Decent mods? Right! Even avoiding the 'Secksy Laaaaydies ' graphics mods and Anime makeovers , which sadly make up a sizeable chunk of what "tha kidz" mod these days, theres still LOADS : A sampling would be SkyUI (which gives it a proper interface for it as a PC game), the official High res texture...

Re: Skyrim...has it got boring?
Not boring for me Oddly enough I found myself going back for a few more hours last night.Mind you I'm playing as a pimped out stealthhy archer on a game so modded it bears only passing resemblance to the version on consoles.Playing it as a party as well is fun (3 companions, one a mage one a barbari...

Re: Rally Speedway article in 111
No conspiracy - said article is a retrorevival (a nostalgic look back at a memorable game), the C64 version is the one I played so it's the version I wrote about. hey dont worry I didnt reckon it was anything sinister! (and I definitely dont think its any "lets ignore one format over another"). The...

Re: Rally Speedway article in 111
Tease ! Theres no issue 111 thread yet, please give us a teaser and tell all of us who dont have the issue what its like, main stories, cover etc! Damn! now that is odd, I didnt realise I nabbed a copy early.(seeing as I've just bought it from my local (Ireland) newsagents , I figured it'd been out...

Rally Speedway article in 111
Hey! been flicking through 111 and its great so far (any kind of Sega love is great!). Theres a decent article on rally speedway. , but one thing bugged me, its listed as a C64 game , but its actually an Atari 8 bit game that was ported to c64. It was published by Adventure International in the US ,...

Re: Would you get rid of your RG collection?
Odd timing on seeing this thread , I'd close to the 100 (from 2 onwards), but basically the powers that be have politely hinted that I need to sell off any retro stuff that's not actively being used , so I'm selling them at the moment. I'm based in Ireland , so it's kind of a limited market , but if...

Re: Street fighter X Tekken and DLC bitching
Hmm I've been half interested in this one , I mean I liked SFII back in the old days , and SF IV was fun , the street fighter franchise just doesn't do it for me. There definitely seems to be a big difference between Namco and Capcom's philosophies on what a game disk should include.Namco aren't as ...

Re: From the forum issue 96
ZZap64 had a decent enough unreleased racing game from Denton Designs called StarAce one month .Well I thought it was decent at the time , but a recent replay showed that it looked great , sounded great , but was as slow as an asthmatic ant stuck in treacle!.
