Re: Where did you get yours?

Started thinking about this earlier, then realised just about all the shops I have bought computers or consoles from are now gone! Although I bought some of these machines at earlier dates, I have included the date of the newest one bought, a bit sad all my recent machines have come in through onlin...

Re: From The Forum issue 187 - Favourite SNK game

Has to be Top Hunter, it is short, but such fun, definitely my best game for short bursts. SNK are so much more than just fighting games, I have 25 CD titles, only 4 are fighters, and 11 AES carts, of which 3 are fighting games. Twinkle Star Sprites, Pulstar and Viewpoint are other favourites of mine.

Re: Unknown Model

Hi I have passed on your question to the owner of a massive Sinclair collection in Portugal, it is indeed an Argentinian Spectrum, he does not think it is particularly unusual to find a 16k model, various boards were used to make the machines, they were originally supposed to be sold by Timex in Por...

Re: Spectrum Vega Plus Poll

Fake news, dear God PJ, I think you might really need to lift your blinkers now, that video is ages old, if even says it was filmed at the Nottingham Dizzy event in April before last, I held one of those units at Spectrum 35 last October, it was ok, not brilliant, not worth 100 quid but would have b...

Re: Spectrum Vega Plus Poll

  Lucky you!

I have it on good authority that the firmware does not support an SD card, and that until recently if you put it in at an angle it fell inside the machine!

Re: Spectrum Vega Plus Poll

Great video Kieren, just an awful piece of crap, I think any sent out and in backers hands is almost certainly all there will be. Lots of questions being asked how to put more games on an SD card, well the answer is....you can't, the firmware has nothing for that, it is impossible. Also in the comme...

Re: Spectrum Vega Plus Poll

[quote=psj3809 I mean its bad how they sent it. Even if they have no money left surely a jiffy bag ? I 'hope' we see more videos soon, just want to see what the actual controls are like or will it just be a static ornament on my retro shelf forever ! Big shame as like i've said before that one i tri...

Re: Spectrum Vega Plus Poll

Now its obvious how RCL will play this, there will be more posts on how they have 400 happy customers with no proof either way. They can now continue to string the backers along by saying they have shipped another few, it's all they can do now, as the money has clearly gone, they have to cover their...

Re: Spectrum Vega Plus Poll

Mind you, as usual for the Vega plus fiasco, some information on zxvega had been complete nonsense too, haven't bothered reading it for a while, so those links would have passed me by.

Re: Spectrum Vega Plus Poll

Another two updates today, the first urging everyone to change all passwords connected to their email, not rcls fault of course, the second claiming that backers who asked for a blank machine will get units shipped this week, as soon as we confirm details that don't need confirming. I have also had ...

Re: Spectrum Vega Plus Poll

Had an email just now from Indigogo, and low and behold the extension conditions set by them for Retro Computers have not been met, no Sky representatives contact information, no refunding of backers, and no review console has been received by Indigogo. Full Message - The game is nearly up. Dear Veg...

Re: Spectrum Vega Plus Poll

In the Facebook group about 10 people whose order numbers were under 30 have confirmed no email has been received. Some of those people messaged RCL. Only one got a response where he was told there "would be an announcement soon". The same old tired line. I'm not expecting any email soon as apparen...
