My impression at the time was that the NES and SNES were marginally more popular than the Sega machines. Generally, Nintendo had the larger sections in the stores and not many people I knew at the time had Sega machines. Also the majority of the rental places at the time tended to have NES and SNES ...

I would't call myself a huge fan, but I do tend to "collect" for the SMD and SMS if I see items in "the wild". Based in country Vic.

Australia's first R18+ rating game
After a battle of around 10 years Australia has it's first R18+ game. Maybe a little surprising as it's a Wii-U game that takes the honour. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge.
