Re: Awful Platformers

Zool had issues related to its speed, but other than that it was pretty good.
Then again, the SNES version may be different from the MD version I played (Amiga is supposed to be the best, though?).

Re: Language Language, COD Competition Rage?!

Utter rot. There's no excuse for it. No-one should have to put up with that level of abuse in any situation. It just shows a lack of professional organisation and oversight that it's allowed to continue. Never underestimate the power of intimidation and deprecation. The Haka, for example, is a war ...

Re: first name basis

there is a story behind that i bet I'm in a society at university where there are five current members called Alex; the name is now taboo and the replacement I was given was "Cheesecake". No explanation was supplied, but I have worn the name with pride. Other nicknames in the society are: Mr German...

Re: sims city 2013 impressions

As for why there isnt an option to do it offline with performance changes, well.... think about it, how many primarily-online PC games have EVER offered that? Generally, anyone running a game of this sort wants you connected to their servers as often as conceivably possible, for a variety of reason...

Re: sims city 2013 impressions

This is the real reason for the servers in the first place I've found this fact unlikely from the start. They may market it as that, but you don't build your game on a server that may or may not run properly. What likely happened was they wanted a method of DRM and found a way to tie it into the ga...

Re: Tropes and sexism in gaming.

I guess I'm asking for more women who aren't just a pair of tits with half a personality grafted on. Where's the female Gordon Freeman, for example? A really rounded, intelligent character who's physical appearence is actually kind of ordinary. Alyx Vance, in the same game series. Not a lead, perha...

For what it's worth, here's a post history from 2005 under the same username, referencing some of the games being offered.
So, if it's a scam, it's a well planned one, spanning 8 years
