Re: New Retro Event in the planning stage...

May do a warmer at the same venue as I did the Retro Ball back in 2005. Caters for around 300. Maybe Feb/March time - then a bigger one in July/August. How does that sound? Retro Ball 2013 - see you there squire. Not (so far) got any European events planning to visit in Feb/March for me, so should ...

Re: Replay Expo 2011 - Official Thread

I went to that chippy twice and it was good both times but hey....... On a slightly different topic. Who was the chap with all the Atari Jaguar stuff? I had a chat with him about replacement boxes of which he showed me a website. The thing is, I cant remember the website :( and I didn't pick up a l...

Re: Replay Expo 2011 - Official Thread (inc name badge reque

I've got the day off to recover from the cold that I probably gave anyone and everyone who came to the Attic Bug stand :) Only played on one game - Dingo - and didn't have far to walk to play that. Bob Wakelin was a craic and a half to work with on the Saturday. Although we probably did scare a few ...

Re: R3PLAY 'The Arcade, Retro & Video Gaming Expo' - Blackpo

I had a good time - knackering but a good time. Not used to standing up all day but helping out Attic Bug in their room was a hoot and a cool room compared to the 'roast-a-thon' going on in the main hall. Good to meet faces old and new and from various forums hither and thither - from the Friday nig...

a sober SirClive (mush be shome mishtake, hic!) :)) It is my new spiritual lifestyle. I have given up sex, drugs and rock n roll and put myself on the path to enlightenment. I'll believe that when I *don't* see you anywhere near the bar @ R3play because you're too busy wandering around going 'Ohmmm...

Re: RCM Gaming Event / Open Day - October 31st 2010

Some of the highlights for me were: . I was on the door and some bloke walked in with his two sons (one late teens/early 20s and nipper, about 10) and the only reason he'd brought the younger one was because his kid had seen an olde worlde phone in his Dad's shed that required proper dialing on it a...

Re: Retro Rewind: Attendees - who's next? :)

I'm going coz it's a retro event as well as making it my belated 'drowning of sorrows at reaching the big 4-0' a few days earlier. Donations of alcyfrol are accepted @ Retro Rewind :)
